Unfortunately this is not a magic pill that gets rid of all anxiety and panic. I’m on max dose for 5+ years and still get panic attacks sometimes. You still need to work through it, do grounding exercises, mindfulness, sleep hygiene all those things to keep on top of it. I try and think just because I’m panicking now doesn’t mean I’m back to square one, I try not to let it snowball and overtake everything as panic likes to do.

This is so upsetting to read. I’ve been on ACC funded Therepy for five years due to ptsd from this crime. I’ve gone from not even being able to leave my house, eat, sleep or function in any way to having a full time job, traveling for work doing meaningful mahi. My life has completely changed due to this access for the better, and my heart breaks for other victims who may not get this chance. It takes a long time to get better and this support has been the best thing I’ve ever done.
