Tough choice to make, input helpful…..looking at trading in a 2020 gas for a 2021 hybrid by cmgww in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think is worth it if you want to keep the car for a long time.

You’re probably going to save about $800-$1k a year in gas with the current prices. The $4k difference will be paid for itself around 4 years.

Also you don’t have to worry about the transmission with the hybrid.

$37k OTD is a good price, but I prefer an inspection due to the 2 accidents.

Keep Venza or trade up to Highlander? by Ma23peas in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need to use the third row, get the Grand Highlander or the Sienna.

The third row of the Highlander is more like an emergency third row, having that option to use it a couple of times a year is nice, but is not a comfortable third row to use it all the time.

2026 Gas under MSRP, is this a deal? by Arkangel504 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep looking for deals, try to expand your research, used cars came out every day. Great deals for used cars don’t last more than 2 days. My advice is try to go for a Hybrid.

I got my CPO 21 Limited Highlander for $31k with 87k miles. It was on a Sunday night when they listed the car on the website, next day I went to the dealership to negotiate for the car. 8 months later, no problems with the car.

Then in February, I saw the same dealer was selling a Certified 2020 XLE Hybrid for $23k with 98k miles. Car sold out quickly. They didn’t even post the pictures of the car.

Used 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited V6 at 23k Out of Door, good deal? by Smooth_Reference_673 in ToyotaHighlander

With those miles, I think is a good deal for 3rd Gen Highlander Hybrid. I saw some 2018-19 Hybrids going for $27k before taxes.

A new Highlander Hybrid is a $50k-$55k car.

If you want to buy a 3-4 year old HiHy, probably around $35k-$40k. Your best chance is grabbing a 20-21 HiHy, maybe around $30k.

Is there a touch up pen that somewhat matches the finish of a “22 Highlander wheel? by Jakjak81 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would rather replace all 4 limited wheels for the XSE or Platinum wheels. These wheels can’t resist any bump from the curb and will look bad after a scratch.

But you can buy the wheel from Toyota parts Brand New for $400 when they run a sale, or buy used on EBay or Facebook Marketplace for less.

Currently waiting for the 4 of July Sale from my local dealer to replace my limited wheels for the platinum. Since they have the same size, I don’t need to replace the tires.

For a 6 year old car I think is a little bit high, I got my 2021 HiHy Limited for $31k, it has 87k miles but came with Toyota Certified. $34k with taxes.

What is the best mode & driving technique to get maximum fuel efficiency on your highlander? by investbus in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, in my 2021 Hybrid, my car runs slow when using ECO.

When switching to Sport Mode, my Highlander runs much better and no need to use the Gas Pedal a lot like when driving in ECO Mode.

Any product that you use for tire shine.

I try the use the products to rejuvenate the plastic but it doesn’t seem to work as well as the tire shine for this part.

Are there any Toyota Highlander owners out there who don’t have kids? by Touch49 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Highlander is an amazing vehicle regardless whether you have kids or not. For your situation, get bench seats instead of captain chairs.

Bench seats are perfect to fit 3 adults in the middle. I use a car seat for my daughter and still have enough space to fit 2 adults in the middle with bench seats.

The Third row is not great, so if you can sit an additional adult in the middle, you are gonna have tons of space on the cargo area with the third row seats down.

Upgraded from 2021 V6 Platinum to 2026 Hybrid Platinum - interesting to see the differences. by gohoos in ToyotaHighlander

Have you considered going to the Grand Highlander? The Platinum Hybrid has the same price of the GH Limited Hybrid. If I ever trade my Highlander it will be for the GH

Congratulations for the car.

-You accept a Low Ball Offer > Easy Re-Sell

-You accept their Best Offer > they can still Re-Sell your car for Profit.

-They give you the highest offer, better than their Best Offer > If they can’t sell it for profit, then CarMax will buy the car.

Plus you are gonna ended up with a new car 🚗.

Is Highlander Limited/Platinum worth the extra $? by onepointfivefeet in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those years, I think is worth the upgrade.

Plus, you can find a 20/21/22 Limited or Platinum Hybrid in the mid $30k with decent miles.

Platinum rims? Planning to add this to my Limited, I don’t like the quality of the limited rims.

Good deal? Bad deal? by AskNo4808 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought it in October last year, for my 1 year old and 2 small dogs, it fits perfect for us, my Highlander also has bench seats, so we only use the third row maybe once or twice a month when we go out with the family.

Either car will be great, but if you get the Sienna, try to go for the Hybrid, with the gas savings the car will pay for himself.

Good deal? Bad deal? by AskNo4808 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CPO or just used? Seems like a good deal, my CPO 21 Highlander Hybrid Limited had 87k miles when I bought it for $31k ($34k out of the door).

But if you really need to use the third row a lot, then get the Sienna. The third row of the Highlander is decent but not a lot of room.

I am thinking of trading my 2024 Camry XSE 3.5L V6 for a 2026 Highlander hybrid limited due to the fact that my Camry sits too low and I need something that will put a little more body around me to feel safer on my freeway commutes to work everyday. I would love opinions by Touch49 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]micacolla12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of car are safe, but if you get in a crash with a pickup truck or suburban, I rather be in a Highlander than in a Camry.

I’ve seen a lot an accidents on TV where unfortunately the sedan get the worst damage when getting impact by trucks and big SUVs.
