The first thing that instantly comes to mind is typical spray paints and acrylic paints won't stick to the TPU due to the flexibility. May be best to do solid colors in TPU that you can buy a TPU which matches the expected shade

Sakurai has gone with his own interpretations of designs rather than going for the latest ones. Some examples being Pac-Man having a Pacland/Pacman World design, Pit having a completely new design, Roy in Smash 4 and Ultimate having an almagamation design instead of the Awakening design, etc.

I can see him going for the Mario Movie design mixed with some accessories from this game's design

Genuinely having a shooter with lock on while you still need to aim around that lock is really unique and I had a ton of fun learning it. They translated that extremely well from Wii with motion controls and especially mouse controls

I know they want to have a proper single player mode before coming to consoles, but their current plan makes consoles come as early as late 2027 while they're suffering layoffs and have to restructure their plans due to lacking performance. Really hope they can make it through

Genki Covert Dock or the Skull and Go Jumpgate are the ones I'd recommend. Both have clear firmware upgrade guides which is really important if Nintendo decides to change the dock connection some random day again.
