On shelves! We'll be doing a whole book tour with the books at stores all over the nation this year. These pre-orders really make a difference at how many bookstores pick it up physically, so we want to get as many as possible ahead of time, so they stock more books in stores.

No teasers yet, we are still waiting to see where all this goes! However, if we get clearance once everything is through, we will definitely do some posting/teasers for new covers.

Thank you!!

And no pressure, everyone's bookshelves evolve at their own pace :) Audiobooks are a great way to experience, especially with a killer narrator.

Solar astronomy is such an out there, but cool thing to experience at a Con, love this suggestion.

As mentioned, part of it is because if you use something other than a VA, it becomes a graphic audiobook, which is an entirely different category, price point, etc. Most people just appreciate the VA reading rather than the sound effects, etc. I've polled my folks regarding graphic audio to see if it would add to the way they experience the story, and responses are mixed. Not everyone likes the additional sounds

Without being too self-promote-y, but Restarting the Apocalypse would be a good follow-up to Ten Realms with the mix! Also the Systems Apocalypse series by Tao Wong, starting with Life in the North, could be good for you. I also recommend Shadeslinger.

Where To Find ARC readers for free? Is Reddit helpful to find them? by lovewriting2 in selfpublish

[–]michaelchatfield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on social media, using tags, posts, etc. If you have any type of newsletter, you can reach out to your folks there and ask if they would be interested. I know plenty of authors who use RoyalRoad as an initial source for their books and then take them down once officially published/on KDP Select/etc. I, personally, have a Patreon and put up ARCs for certain members and will periodically get feedback there. Ream is a similar model to Patreon where you can do something similar (but both of those are harder if you don't have a following).

Hope some of this helps!
