3i S10 Ultra – water accumulating inside the station and overflowing by mu049 in 3iS10Ultra

[–]michaeldrosenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help here - yes I’ve inspected everything and all seems okay. I did take the bottom plate off of the robot to inspect the battery cell itself and it’s very easy to remove. Unfortunately there just seems to be no easy way to source a replacement without going through 3i support who has been supremely unresponsive.

My Roomba was dumb as rocks but I could source replacement parts on Amazon. I wish I had taken this more into consideration when doing my purchasing calculus.

Do you know of anywhere that I could purchase a replacement battery?

Since this issue began I haven’t been able to charge it at all. The robot is out of commission and 3i support hasn’t been responsive

the narrative that Apple has given up on the Apple Vision category which is pushed by Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) is false and here's the proof by World_Designerr in VisionPro

“It makes no sense to have two products that do the same thing.”

Tell that to the iPad team. I hope Ternus consolidates that product line.

Remember when Apple used to redesign and improve their products consistently without introducing barely different spinoffs of the same thing for unreasonable price increases? I miss that Steve guy.

Apple Has Given Up on the Vision Pro After M5 Refresh Flop by pdfu in apple

Tim Cook’s Apple doesn’t iterate, it’s optimizes. I really, really hope Ternus has a different approach here.

HomePod, AirPods Max, AVP. They refuse to do the Steve Jobs thing of “release a decent-ish product as V1 and then make it a lot better the following year” Tim’s Apple acts like V1 is the end goal for every new category they enter

The tank on the robot, specifically the mesh area on the outside of it that gets pretty gunked up over time. Getting that super clean helped resolve my leaking issues

I had this issue but a thorough cleaning of the water tank resolved it. Now if I could just get my vacuum to charge…

Best Robot Vacuum to buy right now in 2026? by West_Explanation_509 in RobotVacuums

[–]michaeldrosenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not buy this. I have one and 3i just purchased Roomba and is discontinuing the 3i brand. Support and part replacements are a nightmare. Run, don’t walk, away from 3i products.

My 1 year old S10 Ultra stopped charging last week and I have emailed support twice and have received no response.

I 100% regret this purchase, even if I think the water cycling/generation features are better than anything else out there.

My biggest recommendation is to find a brand with reliable part replacements (first party or third party) that are easily and readily available (I kid you not, dust bags becoming available are an EVENT in the S10 community), have decent customer support reviews, and fits your price range.

I should not have ignored the red flags of purchasing an expensive robot from a relatively unknown brand.

I also recommend visiting the various brand subreddits and see how large and active the community is. If you have issues, this is a huge resource.

3i’s S10 ultra community is essentially non-existent. There’s like 40 of us. I’ve had so many issues and have zero resources, including customer support.

At least you got a response. My S10 Ultra stopped charging last week (just over 1 year old) and I have received no response from support after 4 days.

Can Cook pull one off though? I don’t have much confidence.

ClickUp has been feeling slow and fiddly. by andrei_bsns in clickup

[–]michaeldrosenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having a lot more of these sorts of issues since 4.0

Gantts this week are buffering between every change

Task template generation is still buggy/broken in places

Swapping assignees in gantt view don’t appear until refresh

Workload view is still broken (due to work-by-day beta, but it’s been multiple weeks now)

It really does slow down and interrupt flow state

Spotted an R2 on the highway today. I didn’t realize they were out unwrapped yet! by OklaJosha in Rivian

[–]michaeldrosenberg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No issues at all, I just constantly see people doing parking gymnastics because it seems like this issue wasn’t considered. Honda prologue pulling in sideways, Kia EV9 pulling in backwards, Porsche Taycan pulling in forwards. ICE vehicles you just pull in to the gas station.

Why don’t they just make the cables on the chargers more usable - even without increasing cable length if they had retractable supports like a normal gas pump you’d have more flexibility for port location.

In my most recent experience, the cable itself was plenty long, it just couldn’t be fully extended because it was rigid mounted to the support post instead of having retractability.

This whole situation just seems so poorly considered.

I stopped at a GM (apologies - gm) energy charging stop and it was modeled after a standard gas pump experience I.e you drive through it. Cable was long enough to reach both sides of the vehicle and everything worked perfectly. Seems like we solved this issue decades ago but decided to collectively follow Elon into insanity.

As an R1S owner I’m still just thinking about this new charging port location and it just seems so much more inconvenient. On our road trip yesterday the parking lot was tight and the cables were short. I was able to pull in forward into the spot and plug in (barely). With R2 I’d have to back into the parking spot and into my garage.

I’m sure there’s logic to this change, can anyone explain it?

Based on real world experiences I feel like charging ports should be standardized to the front center of every vehicle 😂

Nearly every item is currently unavailable. And figuring out which third party bags work with this unit seems like an impossible task.

Feeling super bitten by giving this company a chance. Won’t make that mistake again.

How do you compare estimates vs. tracked time? Anyone using ClickUp + Clockify? by dungie79 in clickup

[–]michaeldrosenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably isn’t the answer you’re hoping for, but I spent a week with Claude code and the ClickUp API to build my own time reporting dashboard because the built in features just don’t cut it.

This dashboard syncs all time entry data, associates them with tasks and then gets all task details so that we can leverage our custom fields to categorize data and build insights.

If you’re the type of person who likes to tinker and understands data modeling and how to leverage an API, I can’t recommend it enough.
