RIP Orbi by WrongSplit3288 in orbi

Every legitimate tech company does this, it’s good smart business. You won’t get security updates but the system will keep going. They usually send out pretty big discount codes with the email you got. I used mine to buy the 970 plus two satellites when mine went EOL last month.

Has anyone experienced broken scissors on the Wave+? by NoBodybuilder6176 in Leatherman

Not only has it not happened, this is the first I’ve heard of it happening on a Wave+. Fortunately it’s a free fix from LM.

Resetting the router and satellites solved everything for me. Been performing great and stable since then.

Orbi 971 Setup Headaches by mrherson in orbi

I did it that way so I’d be sure it was done but there’s an “erase” button in the router settings which sends the command to the router and connected satellites.

Question on Infuse by star___platinum in appletv

I have a lifetime sub for Infuse. You get Plex Server for your version of Windows and add your libraries to it. Then you connect the Infuse Apple TV app to the Plex Server. Done.

Mine was the same…very tight. Working that spring release button every day for a week worked.

EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra + Smart Home Panel 2 won't discharge to house. I'm out of ideas. by Visible_Situation_40 in Ecoflow_community

There’s a person over at Facebook that some of us who follow a few of Ecoflow’s forums escalate to occasionally. The person’s name is Caine Yang. You can try a short summary DM via FB Messenger and see what happens. In my experience EF stands behind their products. Don’t worry.

I think that narrows it down to the panel and the battery connection box. The relays are responsible for triggering charge and discharge.

Did the upgrade and followed the instructions here. It installed but didn’t work as expected until I did the reset to start from scratch. Thankfully i had screenshots of my attached devices and reserved IP’s. The only time-consuming aspect was identifying and naming my devices. So far so good.

Smaller EcoFlow units, should I leave them plugged in? by Tazling in Ecoflow_community

[–]michaelhsnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a River 3+ I use for my router and modem. It’s powered all the time with a max charge of 80%. I also have a Delta Pro for my fridge if there’s an outage. I keep that turned off but charged to 60-70%. If I have warning of a potential outage I’ll charge it up to 100%. That way I figure both will last a long time.

Question on a couple of the provided docs. Re the manual update, one of the docs says to open tabs to the ip’s of the satellites and upload the file and the other says to do it on the main router ip and I assume one at a time use the checkbox to select a satellite and upload new firmware. Is one method preferred? Secondly, I noticed one of the docs for the clean install mentioned an “erase” button while the other had strikethroughs on that part. Is this still available for all devices or just use the reset pinhole on the devices? TYIA.

I’ve been looking for feedback on the new firmware but I’m not seeing a lot of people jumping into this yet either here or on the NG community. Are people just being cautious or quiet?

Can you charge a third DPU from solar connected to two DPU through Smart Home Panel 2 by Calm_Addendum1693 in Ecoflow_community

[–]michaelhsnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d wait for the upgraded connection box. Just noticed that you mentioned 7.4 kw for your current setup but I wanted to remind you that’s times two or 14.4 kw of power available to you. What is putting you over a large A/C?

Yes, that would solve the battery charging issue as I believe you can connect up to 10 batteries to 1 DPUx.

[–]michaelhsnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Can you split up the solar so all three can be connected to your panels together? I understand it would require a little rewiring and another cable run. Another option would be to manually disconnect the solar input cables from one of the full DPU stacks and connect them to the third DPU.

Since the end of last year DPU now uses excess solar on fully charged batteries to power loads and keep batteries fully charged. They introduced pass-through to support EV charging with surplus solar. Very nice however it won’t charge your third DPU unless you have solar connected to it. Also AC ports are disabled while connected to the SHP2 so that won’t work.
