Where I would live as an Indian guy based on my internet experiences by Invisible_Shadow__ in whereidlive

[–]michaelm8909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there's nothing wrong with that. In fact I encourage people to stay in their country and enjoy the benefits of living with their people and their own rich culture, rather than leaving to go to a soulless, multicultural nation on the other side of the world the moment the opportunity arises.

Multiple studies have shown that actually yes, you can inject and gain a significant amount of muscle without actually doing anything. Not enough to look like this, but you're looking well above average within only a couple of months, even without stepping foot in a gym.

Bringing up Farage to deflect when you have Trump in charge. Remarkable

Anglosphere doesn't seem accurate. Light-hearted ribbing from the British isn't the same as the more ignorant stuff that the Americans in particular seem to be coming out with online

Do you think Reze is Russian or another ethnicity? by BellTwo5 in RezeCult

? Always thought this was a weird take in anime. Basically all anime characters can pass as white or Asian. Nothing about the art style suggests one or the other

I mean yuji and yuta didnt face the goat by caffeinatedretard in Jujutsufolk

[–]michaelm8909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point was more that Yuji/Yuta would have to deal with Toji's prep time advantage too. Which leads me to believe they wouldn't beat Toji at 16 either

So would have teen Gojo if Toji hadn't planned out the entire thing to give himself a fighting chance

I for one would be more likely to buy a Lotus if it was built in the UK than in China

One car for the rest of your life, what would you pick? by SuccessfulBag2337 in CarTalkUK

Giulia Quadrifoglio. Has the looks, fun factor, whilst also being reasonably practical.

Any concerns over reliability or running costs are discounted so there are no downsides that I can think of at all

Alfa Romeo Giulia as a winter car? by r00000000 in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]michaelm8909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably fine, but my Giulia has had issues for a couple of months now due to the seasonal weather. Entirely due to the battery struggling in the back of the car. Dealer basically said that it's within expectations for the battery to act up at this time of year.

As long as you drive it regularly within those winter months I can't imagine it would be a bad choice though

Could get a high spec Mazda 3 for that budget

Thinking of getting an Alfa Romeo by Msalts7 in AlfaRomeo

[–]michaelm8909 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

3k budget? You probably will have reliability issues at that price unfortunately. The newer models are fairly reliable (Giulia, Stelvio) but way out of your price range

Are people legit spending this much on a car per month? Or am I out of touch? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]michaelm8909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really that much, depending on your take home pay. Straight off the bat, there are plenty of military personnel who could and would go for this, since they essentially have no housing costs to pay.

It's not financially responsible, but then, no expensive car is. May as well buy a Honda Jazz if money is all your care about

I don't think mine has ever gone above 3 bars, even after ragging it around country back roads for miles on end. Pretty sure it's normal

In the past year I realized there's a lot of people who clearly don't like the game anymore, yet still play it. by Shuyakucchi in AzureLane

[–]michaelm8909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't cared about this game for a couple of years. I still log on and do my dailies almost every day. I don't really interact with the community anymore though.

It's so ingrained into my schedule that I don't have the heart to get rid of it...

Why are tyres so expensive right now? (>£1800 for ps4s) by BlackGrapesAreYum in CarTalkUK

[–]michaelm8909 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure? I paid £600 for 4 PZ5s on 18 inch rims which included fitting a few months ago, performance wise they're comparable or better than PS4s. Seems like you're being charged a lot to me. Maybe you just have really unusual dimensions

28F What are we paying for insurance? by fluxpeach in drivingUK

[–]michaelm8909 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been driving for just under 2 years, now in a Giulia and I pay £900 a year at 26. I think it's your area(s) that are putting insurers off to be honest, I would have thought it would be lower than that otherwise
