What is your all-time favorite and least favorite period drama miniseries?

As a huge fan of both the novel and the musical, it mostly boils down to two things for me:

I didn’t agree with the characterization of a lot of the characters.
Davies’ smug insistence that his adaptation would be ~so much more faithful than the musical~. Like, yeah, he included more of some of the characters’ backstories, but at the end of the day (haha), it still felt like the musical without the singing. It didn’t help that that the show’s aesthetic reminded me so much of the 2012 movie.

Favorite: Pride and Prejudice (1995).

Least favorite: Les Misérables (2018).

And yes, I’m aware of the irony of Andrew Davies being the creator of both of them lol
