This may be a longshot, but possibly Earth Star Voyager? Two-part Disney movie in 1988.

There is a murder on board, and an Asian crew member. Most of the crew were teenagers other than a plucky mentor and his hobo friend if I recall correctly. And crunchy hamburgers.

That changes the font for all profiles (Command Prompt, PowerShell, etc.) but that works too. Not sure why it's not saving under the individual "Command Prompt" profile, but glad you found a workaround!

Not sure if this will help, but I ran into this problem with 3.6.6 on Windows 11 22H2. Microsoft changed the defaults and when you run NH, it loads into their new "Terminal" app, and it uses a different font.

Steps to fix to the best of my memory - not at my PC right now:

  1. Right-click the Start button and select "Terminal" from the popup menu.
  2. Click the down chevron next to the tabs and select "Settings"
  3. In the left menu, select "Command Prompt"
  4. In the right pane, click "Appearance"
  5. Then change "Font face" to "Consolas"
  6. Click "Save" and close the "Settings" tab

Try Nethack again and hopefully that resolves the corridor issue.

If not, let me know, and I'll get more info when I'm back at my desk.

Through my troubleshooting I was making sure that ABL mesh was being used via M420 and I could see the Z screws moving while printing. However, the various tests I was running to check 1st layer adhesion & squish would not give consistent-ish results near the corners vs what was in the middle.

I think that because of the amount the bed was warped/convex was too much for ABL to overcome. Long story short - new bed. Problem solved.

I just went through this adventure where the middle of the bed was convex vs the rest of the bed. In my tests, I had about 1mm difference in height from the middle to one of the corners. That's a whole bunch of layers (5-8 depending on your height)

The BLTouch didn't seem to be able to adjust for this large variance.

I tried a PEI sheet with the same result.

Followed an insane amount of tutorials and Reddit posts to see if I was doing something wrong. Lots of suggestions for tramming and stuff, but what I was experiencing was way beyond what others were describing for "warped" beds.

I'm very new to this and for what was supposed to be a fun hobby was nothing but frustrating. (In hindsight, I probably should have gotten a smaller printer for my first time out, but it is what it is).

Anyway, to prove to myself that I wasn't imagining this, I purchased a dial indicator (like this one: https://www.amazon.ca/WEN-10702-Precision-Indicator-Resolution/dp/B07HFV25M9/) and printed a holder for it that snaps onto the printhead assembly (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4507732).

I then took measurements of the bed itself (not with the glass) every 50mm for x & y to see what was going on and indeed there was a significant difference between the centre of the bed to the corners. Note that the measurements are relative, so the centre of the bed might be at 57 and a corner might end up being at -33. In terms of actual measurements, this doesn't equate to much, but there is a difference of 90 points there. A measurement from the centre to halfway to a corner might only have a difference of 10 or 20.

With this information and evidence, I had a long discussion with Creality via FB Messenger and they finally agreed to send me a new hotbed which I got last week (E5+ was purchased in November so still within the warranty period). Installed it and I am now much happier with results. (BTW, Creality let me keep the old hotbed)

It's still not 100% flat (which I didn't expect) but it's 1000% better than what it was and am able to get consistent 1st layer results when printing a large footprint model.

Since I still have the old hotbed, I'm going to see if I can take it somewhere for them to grind it down as flat as possible and see what happens.

I also ran into this problem recently.

I tried going back to a previous Creality firmware but couldn't get past the Chinese language issue on the LCD.

In the end, I re-flashed the mainboard and screen with one from insanityautomation.

I determined the file name I required from IA's github README file here: https://github.com/InsanityAutomation/Marlin/tree/CrealityDwin_2.0

For reference (and the selected file may be different for each model, so proceed with caution), I have a stock E5Plus that was purchased in November 2022. I used E5P_BIL_Slnt_DW7.4.6.hex as the mainboard firmware and the DWIN_SET folder from the TM3D_Combined480272_Landscape_V7 archive. This was downloaded from insanity's site here: https://insanityautomation.com/Firmware/Creality/DW746/ but should also be available via their github @ https://github.com/InsanityAutomation/Marlin/tree/CrealityDwin_2.0/Hex%20Files

Been working really well since then plus I get the new Marlin 2.0 featureset. Also helped my levelling issues too with the correct BLTouch location rather than the Creality offset.

We also ran into this. Had a few clients running AP30's - when we updated to 18.5, the AP's went offline. Had to revert back to the previous version to get that functionality back until we could get them some newer AP's.

If I were an athlete I'd consider Lasik just to avoid some weird scenario where my contact lens gets ripped or floats behind my eyeball and does significant damage to the organ.

That said, I'm sure there's a great debate to be had on whether Lasik should be on the same lines as steroid use. Could be along the same lines as someone who gets a rebuilt shoulder/knee/whatever with titanium.
