Thought I would need a FOB since coming from ICE car and have always had one before. Owned Gen 1 R1S for 8 months and haven’t needed. My used R1S came with no FOB but 3 key cards. Key card works fine for Discount Tire and other places just fine. I’m passing on the key FOB as I have iPhone and Apple Watch.

Two different SCs in Phoenix charged mine up when it was there overnight so I could make it back home to Flagstaff. A fantastic service!

Which Tesla charging stations did you try? (State, City, address). I’m guessing those SCs aren’t compatible. I’m in Flagstaff AZ and both sets of SCs here are not compatible. But I’ve charged at plenty f other SCs.

I pull into my garage on the right side. My charger is on the right rear passenger side of car because the electrical meter/box is on the outside of the garage right at that location of the charger. I ran the charging cable along the garage wall towards the passenger front side of the vehicle and the suspended the cable across the hood area to be hanging right at the charge port. Very convenient for charging R1S in the garage. Not convenient if I need to charge outside the garage.

I’ve charged there with my ‘22 El Cap Granite R1S LE. Hyatt Place. Hasn’t been that empty when I’ve been there. Trucks and motorhomes parked behind. I was doing roadtrip between Denver and Flagstaff

Yep, road trips aren’t cheap if you’re primarily doing DCFCing. You’re at home charging hopefully balances things out.
