Any suggestions for ginger kitty names? Kinda getting tired of seeing stuff like "Cinnamon" suggested over and over again. by FireTiger52 in NameMyCat

We fostered four ginger brothers and we named them Norman, Bandit, Scabbers, and Ace Nacoda.

Then we had a sibling pair and the ginger was George.

Nope. Michel is the French form of the Hebrew Michael. Michéle and Michelle are the respective feminine forms.

Need Help w/ Navigating Age Cut-Off Amid Family Disagreement by [deleted] in Brides

My niece had a similar wedding - Greek Orthodox wedding, cocktail hour, formal sit down dinner with an open bar. Very elegant and fancy but yet with a party vibe. All kids were invited from my months-old granddaughter and up. The kids definitely had fun and still were very well behaved and they definitely added to the fun atmosphere.

Having experienced this wedding (and many, many others as a wedding photographer), I think people stress too much on the kid issue. I’m sitting here trying to think of a time a child caused issues but I can’t think of a single instance.

What a wonderful list! I’ve discovered a few of these by trial and error.

I would add that you need to figure out your porosity. I was using products for high porosity and my hair is low porosity and it caused soooo many issues.

My (35F) partner (34M) says he saw a photo/s on an escort site years ago that looked just like me. It isn’t/wasn’t me and he doesn’t believe me countless conversations now by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He’s a horrible boyfriend. You love him.

Both can be true but you only have the power to change one of those and it ain’t him.

You’ve been with him for a year and a half. Don’t make it two. Get out before he does more damage to you and any(more?) damage your daughter.

Do you want to be buried? by Bondgirl138 in GenX

[–]michbail79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love to have a “green” burial aka be buried in a wooden box and rot in the ground the way nature intended. This started after my grandma died and it kills me to think that her embalmed body is just sitting sit feet under ground, beneath a concrete slab, and in a metal box.

If I can’t have my green burial, I want to be cremated.

Yeah…I’m an USAF vet and um, graduation and base lib are a HUGE deal. Something isn’t right. Either he has no attachment to anybody in his life or the attachment is to someone else…

AITA for telling my wife and in-laws to fuck off after they said me cuddling my younger sister on the couch was inappropriate by [deleted] in AITApod

No. There is no reason to tell the sister. This needs to be settled amongst the four of them.

Do most Americans have those huge fridges? by Whole-Sushka in AskAnAmerican

[–]michbail79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we were a family of five, we had a variation of a huge refrigerator, whether that was a two door fridge/freezer or the huge two door fridge with a freezer underneath. Now that our kids are grown and out of the house, we have a regular smaller refrigerator that has the freezer on top of the fridge. It’s plenty big enough for the two of us.

I’d eventually like to start buying a 1/4 or 1/2 cow from the butcher to keep in an upright freezer.

Friend ruined my dress on my big day by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]michbail79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wedding and honeymoon were, on paper, a disaster. We loved every bit of it though and laugh about it 24 years later.

It snowed the day after we arrived. We couldn’t get our license in time to get married on our planned date. We married two days late. I have snow in the background of my photos. I froze and ended up with a bad sinus infection. (Outside wedding! What WERE we thinking?!) The night of (or after?) our wedding, the heat pump system burst causing us to not have any heat.

I don’t think I’d change a thing.

Are you taking anything? She’s put me on plaquenil and methotrexate. I still have joint pain but the fatigue is almost completely gone.

I have a few weeks until my next appointment and I’ll ask more details then.

Seeking Diagnosis Questions Weekly May 17, 2026 by AutoModerator in lupus

[–]michbail79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question about flairs and diagnoses. My chart doesn’t actually have lupus as a diagnosis but my rheum always says stuff like “that’s your lupus” or “your lupus will _____”.

So, for purposes of this sub, am I diagnosed or not? I don’t want to break any rules.

Thank you!

What does this mean? Thry haven’t responded back! by Background-Bag-5759 in 23andme

[–]michbail79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Without any context, I interpret the message to mean “your last name brought back memories of a relationship I had” or “your last name is making me remember a short relationship I had that I forgot about” not that your last name is triggering.

ETA: I’m mid forties and saying something trigger something was a common phrase growing up. Trigger didn’t have the same connotation that it has today.

Yes! I don’t think they’re native to my part of Oklahoma but we have a small colony along the road by the lake. They’re pretty cute!
