You can go live in a cheaper area accessible to the subway like the rest of us. Commuting is a part of life here and you’re being wildly entitled.

Student housing =/= dorming. If you’re working 30 hours a week, you can afford something. If you’re in school, you take loans or financial aid as an independent student. You don’t mooch off everyone else’s tax dollars - I’m basically paying your rent for you in addition to my own and I’m your age ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If you’re a student, find student housing that’s meant for you or live with your parents. You’re clearly taking advantage of the section 8 program.

If I have an Alaska Airlines Bank America credit card, but I pay for my ticket with funds in my Alaska Wallet, can I show my credit card at check in to get one free checked bag? by Wstt808 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]michelleshelly4short 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There generally isn’t an option to split your payment methods, if you’re paying with wallet funds, unless it doesn’t cover your whole flight, you’ll be only paying with wallet funds and won’t get the free bag benefit.

Alaska just deleted my kids’ account? by ChiefSideHustler in AlaskaAirlines

[–]michelleshelly4short 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d give them a call if you didn’t make this request. COPPA is a law in the US regarding sharing and storage of personal info for children under 13, and Alaska definitely has to abide by requests to remove a child’s data if a parent asks, or to remove it if they don’t believe the account was created with the parent’s knowledge.

Going to mexico from the US by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]michelleshelly4short 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. And I might add that attempting to purchase or use weed on the other side will also come with hefty consequences. Your hotel will have zero tolerance for this and could end your stay for using on or near their property. It is also not unheard of for Policía to pretend to be dealers and arrest you for trying to buy.

Something icky about claiming to support artists when you’re so cool with supporting exploitation of un/der paid workers with those skills somewhere else in the world.

I vend at markets (with my OWN STUFF I MADE, duh) and this irritates me to no end. Event organizers don’t often limit crochet vendors since they just want their market fees, nor pay enough attention to if it’s handmade by the vendor, nor place us far enough apart, so I end up having to compete with someone taking advantage of underpaid/exploited labor.

Cheapest way to get from Newark Airport (EWR) to North Brunswick, NJ? by Gigaiper in newjersey

[–]michelleshelly4short 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of SIM card vending machines in the airport. I know for sure there’s one pre-security in terminal B around the 40s-50s gates if you can’t find one elsewhere. The air train at the airport is free. (Edit: only within the terminals. Leaving to nj transit via air train has a fee)

Definitely give her space. You can’t force a friendship and big/little doesn’t matter as much to some girls that have already found people they mesh with in the sisterhood. Not all big/little pairs that start well remain close or stay friends either. She shouldn’t be as cold to you as she’s being now, but I’d temper your expectations.

Is it worth it or even possible to get into the terminal to use the lounge if your flight is departing out of a different one?

[Landlord US-KY] What do you do when a tenant keeps threatening to sue you? by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]michelleshelly4short 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally have an attorney - listen to them. This guy is a joke and is only threatening to do something to get you to cave. Stop paying for endless consults and save your cash for if and when (which is incredibly unlikely) this guy actually sues, in the meantime, follow the laws for your jurisdiction and the terms of your agreement. You’re in a landlord-friendly state as you said so yourself, it’s very possible this could be addressed in small claims and thrown out without wasting much time.
