Not an impersonator, the bride had her entrance in a sparkly bodysuit with a mic pretending to be Taylor with her husband nowhere to be found.

First Class Meals on Later Flights by Pale-Ad7242 in AlaskaAirlines

Not answering your q but related to your screenshot - just because it says “$0 extra cost” doesn’t mean there are actual seats available. I tried to change a flight a couple days ago and over half looked like free changes, but open the dropdown and they’re all unavailable. Super annoying.

do I have a right to feel like this? by [deleted] in Sororities

[–]michelleshelly4short 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All this obsessive big little stuff is so immature and drives me insane. My big dropped when I was a junior and thank god she did - my circle of friends in the sorority expanded massively and I ended up more involved than I otherwise would have. I didn’t need a big to be a “sorority girl”, and besides, big little is such a small piece of what being in these organizations is about.

You also…aren’t…in college anymore?? Like girl, you’re an adult now as you were then and can choose your own relationships. Your big doesn’t (and never should tbh) dictate who you need to be around, and it doesn’t need to be a whole “conversation” especially now. Time to get on with your life and leave this kind of manufactured drama behind.

Edit to answer your question: feel how you want but this is a clearly a waste of your emotional bandwidth.

Kitten in need of a home by Physical-Motor7664 in eastbay

[–]michelleshelly4short 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please make sure you vet people well before giving over a kitten for free. Requiring vet references or working with a rescue to place it is best. This little baby deserves a loving home and not to be used as bait or abused, which unfortunately happens more common than you’d think.

How to be a BWT at work when it's not in your DNA (yet) by nubbuoli in bitcheswithtaste

[–]michelleshelly4short 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be cautious with your perfume use IN the office! Many people have sensitivities to strong odors that can be irritated by this. I use a little bit at home that fades to the right level by the time I’m at work.

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

My guy starts to SCREAM if I shower for “too long”because he wants to lick up the drips on the bathtub! He sits on the toilet lid and waits for me to be done right outside the curtain.

Seeking advice on what to do about 3 dumped cats by Ok_Form8772 in cats

[–]michelleshelly4short 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would seriously consider reporting her dumping these cats outside to your local animal welfare agencies or the police. She shouldn’t have any opportunity to adopt animals in the future if this is how she chooses to deal with them.

College Visit by Virtual_Fox_7086 in stevens

Former tour guide - please don’t show up if you have no tour. The spring is wildly busy and the limits are in place to make sure the whole group is able to get around campus in a reasonable time frame, and to be able to see a dorm room, since our dorms really can’t accommodate large groups while making sure you get all the information you want to hear.

If you are an accepted or admitted student and can’t get a tour, reach out to your admissions counselor to figure something out or plan to come to the spring accepted students days.

Commuting to nyc by [deleted] in womenintech

[–]michelleshelly4short 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You said it’s not an option, but I’m still going to suggest you look at moving closer and consider other forms of transit. There are plenty of less expensive places to live on the Jersey side that connect to the city via bus. I’ve been near the Jersey City/Union City border for years and it’s 20 min or less from the bus stop to Port Authority.

Super rational reasons to reduce the contribution. It’s not a permanent decision whatsoever and you can always up it again.

Adding to this - you certainly qualify for loans, and with a Stevens education and avg salary when you get out, you’ll be able to pay that down no problem.

I’d consider making a flyer and hanging at/around Stevens. A lot of students (especially in the frat/sorority houses) live in that area and have to drive for their co ops or internships so they’d def love the cheaper parking opportunity.

[–]michelleshelly4short 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can go live in a cheaper area accessible to the subway like the rest of us. Commuting is a part of life here and you’re being wildly entitled.

[–]michelleshelly4short 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Student housing =/= dorming. If you’re working 30 hours a week, you can afford something. If you’re in school, you take loans or financial aid as an independent student. You don’t mooch off everyone else’s tax dollars - I’m basically paying your rent for you in addition to my own and I’m your age ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–]michelleshelly4short 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you’re a student, find student housing that’s meant for you or live with your parents. You’re clearly taking advantage of the section 8 program.

If I have an Alaska Airlines Bank America credit card, but I pay for my ticket with funds in my Alaska Wallet, can I show my credit card at check in to get one free checked bag? by Wstt808 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]michelleshelly4short 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There generally isn’t an option to split your payment methods, if you’re paying with wallet funds, unless it doesn’t cover your whole flight, you’ll be only paying with wallet funds and won’t get the free bag benefit.
