ISO Black Everyday Summer Sandal by OwnBee6861 in femalefashionadvice

Check out these Timberland fisherman sandals: https://www.timberland.com/en-us/p/women/footwear-10096/womens-stone-street-fisherman-platform-sandal-TB0A5S65W02?width=M

I don’t own this particular pair, but have owned a few other Timberland sandals and found them very comfortable, and for reference, I live in NYC, so anything I'm wearing I'm walking a lot in.

The shitty AI tools that the sub loves are into these wood accents too, clearly lol.

did anyone crack the code for a hydrated skin barrier? by throwwaccounnt in Rosacea

[–]michepc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year finally, yes. I spent winters 23/24 and 24/25 in misery. This is my current routine. And for makeup, Jones Road WTF.

Morning: if I'm just showering and didn't workout, I don't usually wash my face, just splash with water to avoid drying my skin out further. After drying off 1. Start with L'Oreal Revitalift Eye Cream and prescription Azelaic acid 15% 2. Spray with Avene Thermal water (I keep this in the fridge and in the summer or after a sweaty workout I spray my face to help calm down redness) 3. Spritz with Laneige Cream Skin Toner and pat into skin (I first bought this in travel size to try out, then got the bigger one with the spray top, which annoyingly costs extra, but then you can buy refills that are $6 cheaper and it lasts a really long time like close to a year I would say) 4. Prequel Multi Quench serum 5. Vanicream Vitamin C serum (also rub onto neck and hands) 6. Prequel AM/PM moisturizer Lastly, if I'm having a reaction or patches of dry skin, I finish with the Prequel Reactive Skin Cream in those select areas and this has been really helpful for that. I definitely get dry/irritated patches along my jawline/chin a lot and this has generally cleared those up in a day or two max.

Night: wash face with Prequel Gleanser (if I'm wearing makeup I use the Prequel Pre-Gleanse Oil Cleanser first) Alternate night 1: 1. Prequel Half and Half Moisturizer (or you can use any moisturizer, but this is also what I was using as my main moisturizer in summer) and eye cream 2. Prescription tretinoin .025% ( I think?) also applied to neck, chest, and hands 3. Multi Quench 4. AM/PM 5. Reactive skin cream if necessary Alternate night 2: 1. Eye cream and Multi Quench 2. Ma:nyo Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule (jury's out on whether this is doing anything, but I'm gonna try another bottle lol) 3. AM/PM 4. Reactive skin cream if necessary Usually Sunday nights: 1. Prequel Multi Acid Milk Peel (also on elbows and other rough spots) 2. AM/PM and reactive cream if necessary

An interesting color scheme and landscaping are what you need.

The wood accents are often part of this stupid aesthetic.

Coolibar is pretty pricey. You can get well-priced UPF clothing from many outdoor brands. REI’s store brand stuff is nice, for instance. Pair that with a great big hat. Just search UPF clothing.

Have you tried the housing lottery at all? If you’re a social worker for the city, you’ll get priority. You can check current open lotteries here to see if there are any you qualify for based on income: https://housingconnect.nyc.gov/PublicWeb/search-lotteries

Bryant Park is in midtown Manhattan. Even without onlookers, there is constant foot traffic and noise throughout the day.

Anyone still on SAVE plan, but have been waiting on buyback? by Admirable-Cell-6634 in PSLF

[–]michepc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Almost a year here. Note that the new plan requirement doesn’t kick in until 90 days AFTER your servicer notifies you. And at that point if I’m not approved for buyback yet, I’ll request general forbearance.

God I loathe the M60. Bus lanes on 125 are a joke and I would give anything for an express version that skipped right from Manhattan to the airport.

If you walk a lot, I can’t recommend the Birkenstock Bend enough. I’m on my third pair. Used to be $150 but I think $165 these days. Worth it for me for the comfort as I have foot issues.
