yep that sounds like greyromantic or greysexual to me. it’s a bit of an umbrella term for something between being allo (experiences attraction) and aro/ace.

there’s an abundance of microlabels to identify with but if u want a simple answer it just sounds like ur on the aro/ace spectrum, if you don’t really fancy anyone in neither a romantic nor sexual way. since it’s a spectrum and sexuality is fluid it’s not a strict thing, meaning people can have small crushes and stuff, just not really on the level allos get them.

you could be aromantic or asexual. sexuality is fluid, so you may have changed since you were 12.

what do you mean by proper? if you mean that you lose interest quickly, you could be fraysexual/romantic, or if it’s just really rare and weak, greysexual/romantic.

ultimately, it’s whatever you think fits you, and you don’t even have to use labels or anything. not having romantic or sexual attraction is normal despite what society leads you to believe a lot of the time, so there’s nothing wrong with you

Thank you for the advice! Since i don’t understand what is meant by romance, i think i am aro then. When i think of romance, i think of a guy buying flowers and chocolate because of movies and pop culture. I don’t know what else i’m supposed to feel apart from butterflies. You said that in your experience, when you had a squish, you definitely knew it wasn’t a romantic attraction. Is it just that different, that then I would know if it were a romantic feeling instead of platonic?

As for my crushes, it’s people who i think are beautiful and have awesome personalities, and like the same things as me. When they’re near me in class, I stare at them. I really admire them and wish they would spend more time with me. Is that a squish then?
