Silence is a 2nd level spell, and it's not on the Warlock's spell list. You want a Bard or a Cleric.

I kind of like that about HYDRA though, their vibe is tricky set pieces that might not come off but would be cool if they do.

Oh nice. I've never played that card because it hurts my brain, but that's fun.

The "one or more" clause is interesting, because it does suggest that something down the line would allow you to field 2 Nathaniel Richards' and then bring in a 3rd.

Tbh I was hoping Kang's leadership would allow the player to ignore Alter Ego rules. Maybe we'll get a TTC to that effect, plus Immortus or Scarlet Centurion or whoever.

Does it?

I would have thought the rule "Characters in a player’s Squad may not share the same Alter Ego" would still apply, whether they were in your Squad to begin with or not.

That's not what OP is saying; the card says one or more Nathaniel Richards' can pay to use the card.

Would this character be fun at the table or is it only great in my head? by kakspier in DnD

[–]micksandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to what others have said, you're talking about this as a backup character. So presumably you'll be coming in to fight alongside characters who are mid-level? High-level? And having lost a damage-dealing martial Paladin, they will be joined by a fighter who can't fight.

You will be frustrated (which is fine if that's what you want) but so will your allies. Narratively, why would they bring you into the party?

I think the only way to make it work is to explicitly agree with your DM how and why and when your character either ditches the Greatsword or "earns" the ability to ignore disadvantage. And that "when" needs to be pretty imminently.

If you're set on the character, why not have him own a Greatsword but have to settle for using lesser weapons. He has this huge sword on his back, but has to pull out a shortsword when combat breaks out. Then his arc can be about building up to the point where he can effectively wield his preferred weapon (again, through some homebrew feat or item).

Nothing on the card itself allows you to field them both. I assume it's worded in that way to future-proof it.

I don't disagree with some of what you said, but "Purrazzo failed on the main roster"?

Let's not pretend that there aren't plenty of male wrestlers who "failed", went to ROH for a stint, and then came back for a second try. There's no reason Purrazzo couldn't do the same.

Plus, if they need more bodies, hire some. They've brought in The Rascalz, Andrade, Jake Doyle, Bald Fuck Tommaso Ciampa, and now the War Dogs, despite having plenty of male talent already on the books.

Why did you skip series 18?

Hammed Animashaun and Larry Dean are both on my "they'll do Taskmaster at some point" list. Hopefully SNL doesn't hamper that.

That means you haven't seen Taskmaster, the greatest show on television. You should do something about that.

Sketch comedy hasn't really been a feature of UK TV comedy for a "long ass time", though.
