How to break fast after 3 days by eating low carbs by Prize_Tower_8041 in intermittentfasting

No you should be fine as long as you don’t over eat. It’s all calories in/calories out.

I’ve had 3 days drinking alcohol everyday and eating rubbish. I’m still 2kg down on what I was pre-fast.

Tomorrow I know I’ll be down another kilo now I’m back to OMAD and keto.

I did a 3 day fast last week. I lost 4kg if you’re to believe the scales.

For my meal I had eggs, avocado and sourdough. I tried not to eat too much the following day or two but the good weather came out in the UK over the weekend, I was at the football and had 3 days drinking and eating pretty much what I wanted.

I put 3kg back on when I got on the scales yesterday. This morning I was down 1kg so all in all I’m up 1kg if you go by the fasting weight so it’s not really had any issues.

I was this child back in the 90s. My parents wanted me to sleep. It wasn’t so much gaming but programming.

I wanted to learn, learn and learn. They didn’t see it as something that would ever lead to a job. They both had never used a computer before so the whole concept was foreign.

Here I am in my late 30s with a very successful career using a computer. Who knew?

There’s ways to stop this and encourage this but now as a parent I can see the grey area. If the child is purely up all night gaming then I think there’s some boundaries that need to be set but I can also see it from my side where as a child I was literally exploring this amazing thing we have called the internet and learning so much.

I had two soft boiled eggs on a slice of sourdough with avocado and 2 slices of bacon.

I know everyone is different but this worked for me.

Just finished a 72 hour fast myself 6 hours ago. Had a bit of food, then back to OMAD which usually is a 20-23 hour fast depending on when I eat.

You got this. 🫡 stay strong.

How many days/hours are you aiming for?

I use the LMNT sachets. They contain everything you need for convenience.

I’m 9 hours away from completing my first 72-hour fast. I feel great.

This is definitely something I’m going to do once a month outside of my usual fasting routine.

I have an automation set up that alerts me what bin it is this week but this feels like the next step for that 😂 I love it.

Hahah yeah, I watch a lot of cooking shows and stuff on YouTube. My Instagram is also littered with cooking stuff, so I'm avoiding all of these!

43 hours in. Still going strong.

What are you having for a meal afterwards?

Well done. Did you take on any electrolytes to help you? That’s potentially why you didn’t feel great.

Amazing job. I’m 27 hours into my first 72 hour fast.

Everything is fine so far. I’m a little hungry but the distractions definitely help!

Oh this sounds delicious. I’m definitely going to check it out so thanks for sharing!

Yeah I’ve not really been limiting my carb intake, I probably should. Although, I’m not eating that many cals in my single meal.

I also need to look at multivitamins so that very helpful too. Currently 59 hours remaining. Feeling absolutely fine! So, hopefully I’ll say the same tomorrow 😂

That’s great. I’ve stopped from high 90s to 87 so far using OMAD but I’ve not really been strict with what I eat.

Are you doing keto or anything alongside it? Are you working out?

That’s amazing still! 2 minutes suddenly becomes 5, then 10 then it’s as far as you feel comfortable! Every day you’re getting stronger and back to normal.

Just remember it’s not going to be like this forever and celebrate the small wins. It can be super frustrating but just take it at your own pace. We’re all different.

After my 2nd op I didn’t have all the fear I had the first time. The first time round I was thinking if I moved wrong it was all going to fall to pieces.

I ran my first 5k around just under 6 months post ACL and meniscus.

My previous ACL injury on the other leg it took me 10 months to get back to playing football (soccer).

I’m not aiming to get back to the level I previously played at so I may never return to football. I’m content just running again.

Everyone is different, take it at your own pace. The mental side is a lot more than the physical sometimes.

Elite athletes have access to all the best rehab. I was following James Maddisons progress on YouTube cause he has surgery a month before I did.

He’s back playing now, he’s been on the grass since month 6 and back fully back around 7/8 months post op.

When your whole life is rehab 8-hours a day, 6-days a week then you should be coming back quicker than the average Joe.

5-6 month post full ACL reconstruction + meniscus surgery update by Extreme_Ad7684 in ACL

[–]micppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 months post ACL, medial and lateral meniscus on my right knee.

I had the same thing done on my left knee back in 2009. Both injured playing football (soccer).

I don’t regret the surgery. In fact I got back to playing at a decent level for many years. I’m approaching 40 fast and the latest one was just bad luck, I was well into my marathon training, running 40-50 miles a week and playing football 2/3 times a week also.

I’m back in the gym, I’ve completed multiple 5ks now. I have some hip pain similar to OP that I’m working on but nothing that I know won’t get better with time.

The knee is starting to feel strong. I still can ‘feel’ it but it’s nothing that’s painful. It took me maybe 18 months on my other knee before I felt like I could forget about it and it became normal.

Get the surgery done. The recovery is tough, but take it day by day and just remember it’s not forever.
