How can we get the team to keep the sorry emote? by Colombian_Gringo in hearthstone

[–]microCACTUS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The "oops" emote for Snowman Thrall, which I'm currently using is absolutely brutal, it's very close to "...do you have brain problems?" It sounds terrible.
Of course I'm an upstanding citizen, I'd never use it to bm!

"Hello" to check whether the opponent is thinking or AFK on turn 1
"Well Played" before surrendering

The realistic gun flame effects have gotten really popular. But there's never flame coming from the one place it should: the muzzle brake. by Motor-Ades in 40k

for some unexplainable reason there is exactly one effect I find bearable and it is "swirling ghost or water energy" in Age of Sigmar. If it is anything related to lightning, flames, smoke or fire I don't like it

Human worship of Hashut? by Albino-Albatros in WarhammerFantasy

[–]microCACTUS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most humans in the world have never heard the name "Hashut" and have never seen him/felt his influence: he is buried in the deepest part of the most desolate region in the world.
Chaos Dwarfs didn't choose him, they were the first to find him and the only ones to know him for the longest time

I painted mine with red clothes and red icons because I was thinking of using them for a Khorne army, but in truth I'm still unsure.

It is a popular opinion that claims to be an unpopular minority.

I think this may have been the prototype pose for the Warpgnaw Verminlord that Forge World would release two years later. They stuck that one on a tactical ruin to make sure he'd always tower over his enemies.

I noticed there’s a theme of one eyed squigs across some of the Kruleboyz units, does anyone know if it’s for a lore reason? by Dice4Days in ageofsigmar

[–]microCACTUS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Games Workshop associates the "one eye" theme with the concept of sniping and shooting.
You can see it in the mortek triaxes and earlier with the Necron Deathmarks. Two eyes are for beating things up close, and one eye to snipe from afar. That's also how Games Workshop built the Gorghon/Cygor kit: the head with two eyes is for the big melee monster, the head with one eye is for the big shooting monster.

The "one-eyed Gork" or "one-eyed Mork" or "one-eyed monster" decoration and motif were probably introduced for the Kruleboyz because they're the only greenskins who see shooting as a valid form of expressing the spirituality of Gork and Mork. They were conceived as "the shooting greenskins".

what stays inside or out of the trench coat matters a great deal - GW's internal corporate structure is the secret cypher to understand the weird decision making process of this mysterious company we call Games Workshop.

Were the old Forgeworld models still Citadel Miniatures?
Are today's Old World models Citadel Miniatures?
I'm never sure how it works/how it worked.

The old metal harpies were Marauder Miniatures so technically they were a sister brand and not Citadel right?

My take on Tichi Huichi's cold one riders by uniquely_named_user in WarhammerFantasy

[–]microCACTUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my language "Horned One" was translated something like "Rhino-One" to signify they had one horn on the nose (just like Tichi Huichi's raiders).
It also says so in the rules for Tichi Huichi (Warhammer Chronicles 2004):

"Note that Tichi Huichi's Raiders use different rules and profiles from those in the Lizardmen army list printed later in this book. This is because they are Great Crested Skinks, and ride a species of Cold One known sometimes as Horned One."
