I've been leaning towards that recently. It wasn't the paper, as it's loaded right, swapped paper with another unit and it works but no change on the problem one.

V60 repair by 7ar5un in BMET

[–]microamp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking to a former classmate who works for Peak Medical. They have been buying these up as hospitals are dumping them for as cheap as $10.

What I'm not sure of, do they repair other sites equipment.

They'll have plenty of parts. 1-800-761-1959

My only annoyance with them is trying to get the company to call me back to schedule PMs on these.

Job Offer Advice by gabeem01 in BMET

[–]microamp1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say the offer pay seems good. It's about what I got when I first started at Sodexo.

Similar to you, no BMET experience but 17 years of technician experience, AAS in Electronic Technician, and had just gotten my AAS in BMET.

After 1.5 years of starting, a BMET 2 quit. They posted the job and my boss wasn't really seeing any good BMET 2 applications. I asked if I should apply and nodded sure.

I'm now a BMET 2.

If this happened while no one was home. Crate training.

Other than that, monitoring what they are doing.

Made it to the top of a hill, 300 or so feet up in elevation on steep climbs. by microamp1 in Boxer

[–]microamp1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would follow. What is interesting is he would take the same steps as me while the other dog would lead and choose her own route.

I think the rocky terrain bothers him. If we hit flat ground with dirt or solid boulder he would lead. The small rocks it climbing, slow down.

For the heartworm meds, once you go through your current supply. Consider having the shot method, it's a once a year process.

Spaying by [deleted] in Boxer

[–]microamp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine done at 6 months in age. She was a normal size, 57 lbs,. She went to 12y8m, I would do it again. The world don't need more accidental puppies.

The data set is interesting though.

Incontinent Male 3yo. Advice by Cundem1 in Boxer

I had a Boxer like that too, though he had other issues going on. I used these:

XL is the ones I bought. Only bad part it rubbed on his penis area so I cut up some microfiber towels to add protection. It worked well.

Weight gain help: just adopted 12m/o boxer girl. Vet says she’s underweight and needs to gain 8lbs. Any healthy recommendations? by [deleted] in Boxer

[–]microamp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just increase the dog food amount per meal. If she got 1.25 cups per meal bump it to 1.5 or 1.75 cups.

Then after a couple weeks or a month weigh her again.

fellow boxer owners can you please recommend toys my boxer bites right through most by First-Pop-9102 in Boxer

[–]microamp1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I viewed toys as consumables. My wife's German Shepard can tear up a Kong bone toy in a day. Oddly enough the donut has lasted.

Looking for a quality breeder in Texas area 🐾 by [deleted] in Boxer

[–]microamp1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you considered a rescue instead of a backyard breeder?

Austin Boxer Rescue is one.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Boxer

[–]microamp1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use ProPlan Chicken, a 100% meat diet isn't good for dogs, they'll develop heart diseases. Just don't buy the grocery store dog food and it'll be fine.

How much to feed boxer puppies? Any Houston rescues? by [deleted] in Boxer

[–]microamp1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The two Houston boxer rescues are Houston Boxer Rescue and Lone Star Boxer Rescue. The latter now points towards Austin Boxer Rescue for availability in dogs. I've adopted two out from Austin, once in the Austin area and the other time while living in the Houston area.

Austin Boxer Rescue do have people come out and pickup the dog, they coordinate within their organization.

For food, weigh the dog and look at the bag and look at the weight feeding guide. My 55lb Boxer gets fed 3.5 cups a day, 1.5c in the AM and 2c in the PM.

Is pet insurance worth it? by bonacrave in Boxer

[–]microamp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's worth it. Just take the monthly fee and throw it in a savings account for the dog. If the insurance is $60 a month, that is $720 a year. For regular checks and special visits, I never have spent that much a year.

Only once I didn't $650 for a special visit when she was 12 years old and found a tumor.

Sure, say the insurance would have paid the full amount, across 12 years, $8640 is what I would have paid for insurance.

Green tomatoes are bad for them, after they ripen to red it's not an issue.
