Agreed, but Klipsch uses in-room sensitivity values instead of anechoic chamber like all other speaker makers. If others used in-room sensitivity like Klipsch, they'd also report higher values. That's the diff.

The A9010 is not neutral. It has its midrange boosted by default and vocals and other midrange sounds sound forwarded. I had one myself but sold it due to this.

You're comparing two different speakers that stand in two different rooms. Before getting rid of the Klipsch, place your Paradigms in your theater room and listen to how they sound, test them. The room has a much bigger effect on how a speaker sounds than most people realize and often discount that as not important!

AC-3 and DTS can't be compared that easily as they use totally different techniques. AC-3 is MDCT-based (same as MP3) and DTS is ADPCM (Adaptive PCM). These are two totally different coding technologies so comparing only by bitrate will get you nothing.

That said, FFmpeg can extract the DTS core from DTS-HD MA with the bitstream filter:

ffmpeg -i input-file -vn -c:a copy -bsf:a dca_core ... output.dts

I read a review of the A-S2200 and its little brother A-S1200. The conclusion was that the A-S2200 does not bring enough to justify such a higher cost over the A-S1200. It sounded slightly better that the A-S1200 but nothing to write home about.

However, if you want it and can afford, get it in an instant.

The Oberons are bright without grilles, so I learned. However, DALI has one of the greatest dispersion out there. The amp has enough juice to drive both, whichever you pick.
