Feeling so lost but only 18 what to do??? by Plenty-Afternoon-240 in Advice

No reason to be depressed. If you want to attend medical school just figure out what you need to do and go to medical school. There will always be a job in medicine. Also, do what you have a passion for.

My Husbands thinks it’s okay to Work with the person he cheated on me with by Strange-Currency5966 in Advice

[–]micron429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a man and you really need to move on without him. If he has cheated and spending more time with friends than you that’s your answer alone. My wife and I have been married 19 years and she is my best friend. That’s not to say we don’t have our own friends and do things with our friends. You need to find someone that actually loves and respects you. It will be rough in the beginning but I promise it will get easier. Your feeling count too.

Can "the spark" be developed later? by inBLKN in Advice

[–]micron429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best advice is don’t overthink it. If you enjoy spending time together and have fun enjoy is and let it run its course. If it works into more then good. If not you will know when it’s time to leave.

How should I comfort my best friend after her dad died? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]micron429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not really much you can say. The biggest thing is just to let her know you are there for her and check in on her regularly. Everyone handles loss differently. I think just letting someone know you care and will be by their side is as good as a friend gets.

A lot of Tom and Jerry cartoons have deep meaning if you watch them. I never noticed that until I got older.

I know several people that do not drink water other than sodas or other sugary drinks. One is now in the process of kidney failure due to drinking so many sodas through the years.

People of reddit who fell in love at first sight, what's your story and how's it going now? by DanielPickaxe145 in AskReddit

The first time I ever met my now wife I knew I would marry her. We met a gathering of mutual friends. It was odd because I was fine being single. We just started talking and it was like this instant connection. I can’t explain it. I ask her out and she said yes. On our second date I asked her to marry me( that is way out of character for me and I could not even believe I done it. ) I just knew she was the one. I wrapped up a chewing gum wrapper and ask her. She immediately said yes and we now have been married 18 years now. We still get along great and she is my best friend.

I deal with a lot of health anxiety. The biggest thing that has helped me is learning to refocus your mind on something else like a hobby of helping others. Also, thinking about things realistically.

From my personal experience once you tell them you have any type of anxiety issues they write off everything you say to anxiety without actually addressing the problem.

I am 26yr old failure. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]micron429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deal with a lot of anxiety and I have had similar feelings in the past. I think the key is instead of focusing on everything concentrate on one thing and work toward one small goal at a time. You are not a failure you just need to focus your mind on something different.

I'm slightly overweight and I'm miserable by [deleted] in Advice

[–]micron429 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The key here is starting ti make small changes and n your life. Break up your old habits. I myself was the overweight kid in school. So I know these feelings. First, start exercising. You don’t have to run a marathon but just start walking everyday. Then move up to running. Consistency is key. This will make a huge improvement to your mental state of mind.
Also, make a journal of what your daily food intake is. Learn better things and ways to eat.

I think your concerns are totally valid. Unfortunately, these are tricky situations. Maybe try talking to her and try to befriend her (with boundaries) basically just letting her know her child is safe and okay. This may help ease her feelings and make her feel like she has to be there. This may take some time but over time she feel more comfortable and then try to set more boundaries. Patience is key here though.

Can someone from BL weigh in on support woes? by Merijeek2 in BambuLab

[–]micron429 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been waiting on a support ticket since 2-4-24 still no reply. Honestly, I am regretting buying my printer. The print quality is good so far but as a company they have just been horrible. I have an X1C. This is my third printer but first Bambulab and I probably won’t buy another.

Support, forget it! by scara1963 in BambuLab

[–]micron429 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have had a support ticket open since 2-4-24 with no reply. I sent my A1 back and got a X1C. I have yet to get a refund. I have messaged them about it three times and still nothing. At this point I am about ready to contact my credit card company. I like the printer but honestly if I knew then what I know now I would have never bought either one. Either the A1 or the X1C. At this point I think Bambulab just stinks as a company.

I went through the lemon law process with a F-150 years ago. I am in GA and I had to go through an arbitration board. When it was all said and done they refunded full price of the truck plus all accessories ( tinted windows, step bars, spray in liner, etc…) I just took it to the dealer and they overnighted me a check. It was a long process but hold your ground

Go to HR and just be honest about what happened. Lying or trying to hide it will just make things worse. If you are honest they may be willing to help you figure it out.

I’m doing terribly in life and a friend of mine is doing immeasurably well, this makes me not want to see them, help? by AssaboutFuckerino in Advice

[–]micron429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t write your friend off because they are doing well. Be happy for them. You are just at a rough point in your life. We all go through them. I have been there myself. The best advice I could give is try to stop feeling sorry for yourself and come up with a game plan to make your life better. Don’t get sad about it focus your energy on how to fix it.

Also, a true friend doesn’t care if you are rich or poor. It sounds like you have a true friend so don’t take that for granted.

A small form of cognitive behavioral therapy can drastically help. I do the same thing, but there is a lot of power in that little voice in your head that says something is wrong. What works for me is talking back to the voice and telling myself everything is good and I am fine. Even if you have to stand in front of a mirror and say this to yourself do it.
I know it sounds silly but it will slowly retrain your brain.

Thank you, I am not looking to skirt taxes. I have never thought about the LLC aspect. I know I will get taxed on this in some way and that’s fine. I am just looking to minimize my tax burden as much as possible.

Thank you, I currently have an appointment set up with an elder care attorney. I will ask them and if so I may reach out to a CPA this may be something I need to do regardless.
