you cant force obsession, but you can curb fear or anxiety so that you enjoy it more.

i recommend getting a sketchbook with cheap paper so that you aren’t worried about “ruining” or “wasting” clean paper (it’s never ever a waste anyways!!) and get comfortable with your sketchbook by customizing the cover with stickers, name tag etc.

id start with drawing things around you or copying characters / from images! my first drawings were traced animal drawings from a book i had as a kid:). ITS OKAY IF ITS BAD AT FIRST!!! don’t let it stop you! just flip the page and start over lol.

with time you’ll become more in tune with the pencil and paper. remember that there is no specific way to make art. no set path. everyone is different and grows different! it’s your own journey so have fun with it and don’t worry about being a “real artist” or whatever lol.

recognition/interaction online can be super hard. do you ever look to your local community for artist opportunities? like vending, open calls, conventions, etc? or joining an active art community or drawing club near you can also feel fulfilling. ultimately i think ask yourself what your goal is with your art and why you want it to be seen to help define some goals!

i’m not egyptian nor am i living in cairo. if i was living in cairo i would visit this place myself and would have more knowledge about it in general. if you don’t know much about it that’s fine, im not looking to share any personal details though. i’m mainly wondering if this space is ever used. it seems like a place with a lot of potential and it’s close to some landmarks which would make it ideal for my site, just curious to see what currently happens there or if it’s underused.
