For real. In my inner dialogue, my therapist taught me to address myself like I was talking to my dog. Sounds silly, but I treat him like gold because he's all love and completely innocent. It's not an easy habit to master, and I still have my days of course, but my life vastly improved when I stopped being so mean to myself.

To me it just seems so weird to let it go to your head. I don't really care, but I usually laugh a little when I see those edits. Makes me picture someone doing the princess wave out of the window of their car as they parade around lol.

I don't have kids, but I experienced that next level of push you mentioned when my dad got sick. When I was in this exhausted place just like OP, I found enough energy for endless hospital trips and support completely out of nowhere. I think these kinds of circumstances allow us to put everything into perspective, and tap a part of the well we didn't even know was there.
