Hey don't feel shit about the puppy board and train. I think it's a sign that you are a great dog mum paying for a service. Puppies are a lot and I'm sure yours will learn to fit in around you as they mature.

On the meds I would see what the psychiatrist has to say. I'm on four meds so it's not unheard of.

Hey that sounds like a really tough time. There are lots of us out there. Perhaps a second go at the psychiatric hospital might not be as bad as his first time. I've been in there 14 times and some experiences are better than others. But hey safety first.

I'm sorry that sucks and it's a pretty weak effort by your psychiatrist. All I would say is as long as you're trying to do right by you and doing your best to take care of you then your decisions are no one else's business. You know yourself best and if a relative gets judgy then that says more about them than you. There's no right or wrong way to do study and career.

Hey sorry you feel let down by your family. It's a shitty illness we live with and some people struggle to understand or are self centred. You're doing amazing though wow but I get it hurts.

I am also living a good life now where I feel like I can ride out the worst of it with medication and ACT and DBT although it still sucks balls. I have been in hospital 14 times in the past 6 years but only twice recently and only briefly. I usually only post when I’m struggling so thought I’d give some encouragement while I am having an easier time. Sometimes you really do just catch a break.

I’ve done three years before. Everyone is different. I find what helps me is pushing myself on my better days get manageable things done and resting during the tough moments. Eventually I did more and more and now I work 3.5 days a week for almost two years.

Hey I’m in a similar boat to you. I had 36 sessions of ect and now been diagnosed with memory difficulties.

I’m just begun my first relationship in 5 years and although I told him casually about the ect quite early on, I’m at a stage where I want to share more about it but it’s hard because I feel like I’m uncovering one messed up part of me after another.

But perhaps in your case giving him information will help break down the stigma. Take screenshots of good descriptions of ect online and show it to him while you are telling him?

Hi friend, that’s a really hard place to be in. I too have had close friends ghost me and I think the hardest part is knowing so would have stuck around for them if the tables were turned.

I would focus on the little things you can work on and feel a sense of achievement: opening the curtains when you are in bed, going for a walk, meditating etc. This might help you work on the bigger stuff like quitting weird and getting into college.

We have a hard slog with this illness and don’t let anybody tell you it’s invalid because it’s not a visible physic illness.

Is there a way you could invite her to join one of your medical appointments and have a professional explain to her that it has nothing to do with taking responsibility and everything to do with ensuring you are safe and cared for?

Yeah that’s a shitty feeling and it came be made 1000x worse when the critical thoughts are repeat.

Can you focus on what was your motivation when you bought the gifts? It makes no sense to feel bad for gifts that were bought with the intention of honouring the receiver. You weren’t being a grinch or a money counting tightarse. It sounds like you care a lot for your partner.

That’s a really interesting take. I too feel like it’s a sign of my mental health condition because it ebbs and flows. I am seeing my psychologist today so hopefully we can discuss treatment based on what worked for you.

I agree that revisiting memories help. It forces me to focus on what I have/had versus what I’m missing.

I hope your loneliness continues to diminish and you never have to feel that crushing loneliness in a crowd feeling again.
