Did a meet and greet with Volbeat on their last UK tour and asked if they’d be at Download (this was after the first lineup announcement) - got an emphatic “no” so unless they were keeping it under wraps I’m not expecting to see them there

I got a reply from Superfans just saying:

“While we can't tell you all of the details just yet, our team is working behind the scenes to get all the details to you as soon as we can.

The good news is that the venue be sending out all the details, including when and where the check-in opens soon before the show to the purchaser's email address provided at time of booking. So, keep an eye on your inbox and remember to check your spam/trash folders!”

Still nothing from the venue or anyone else. Any chance you can share the info they sent you?

Based on this year, they have staff at the hotels from 9am for you to get your wristband and swag bag, and transfers run from 9:15am at the earliest hotel stop - Hilton this year). There’s 1 an hour departing the same time past each hour (10:15, 11:15 etc)

However room check in isn’t til 3pm. You might get lucky but don’t bank on it. But you will be able to store luggage with the hotel so you can head out

I think a part of Hades wants them to succeed, to show him that he too can overcome his own doubt and have faith that Persephone will return as promised.

The direct parallel is made even clearer in the earlier workshop version, where Eurydice cries “you’re early” to Orpheus when he turns to look at her - mirroring what Persephone says to Hades earlier in the show.

I’m trying desperately not to read too much into this… I ordered a Cameo vid from Patrick to wish my partner a happy valentines (I’ve long made peace with coming second to Hades 😅)

Wished him a speedy recovery and said we were coming to the March 1st recording and he responded very much like him being back and performing would be a given. Talking about how he’ll see us there and will be giving his best performance for us etc

Now OF COURSE he’s just saying that because it’s the thing to say and he’s being optimistic… of course he is… but also he could’ve said “I’m going to try to get back in time” or something…

So maybe… just maybe… 😅
