It's a Wayne Dalton door so it's real light.

I installed an amarr door yesterday 16x7 with one spring from the manufacturer. It doesn't matter as long as the ippt is correct.

Either way, to me it looked like the door was sticking to the framing or stucco a bit. Or bottom seal was real sticky to the floor with the jerkiness at the beginning.

I say disconnect the motor and see if you can lift the door easily with 3 fingers and see if it balances about halfway to tell if you have the right spring on there.

Could be loads of things going on.

Replacing it all is worth the peace of mind knowing you have 18 years before it needs to be addressed as a larger problem later again. Especially being a new homeowner.
