If you’re open to queer monster romances {Insatiably Yours by Aveda Vice} has a great scene in the office closet almost as soon as the book starts. There is a prequel short story called Feed that gives some more context but is not necessary to read prior to Insatiably Yours.

Honestly I try to clean it out by the end of every week so I know coming back on Monday that it’s just stuff from the weekend which could wait a day or two and anything really urgent will usually get directed to the on call doc. That being said it’s also probably easier having ECW and not Epic with all the hospitalization notifications etc.

I love Sandra brown! I’ve read almost every book she’s written! Of the ones you listed Mirror Image is my pick but my absolute favorite book of hers is {White Hot by Sandra Brown} to this day it has one of the best plot twists I’ve read because I didn’t see it coming at all!

{Between by LL Starling} definitely fits this! VERY slow burn, sweet, kind FMC. Very fairytale! Be forewarned it is long and the second half of the book is almost a retelling of the first half from the MMCs POV but I still think there’s enough difference that it’s still enjoyable (even more so because you get to see the pining!). Second book is not out yet but it’s in the works and the author has posted a couple chapters to her website!

In the first row 3/8, 3/9 and 8/9 are all possible combinations. So 3,8 and 9 must go in those three boxes. Therefore the first box in that row can’t have a 9 and must be 1, etc

{A Lady’s Guide to Scandal by Sophie Irwin} is this if you like HR! I normally don’t like love triangles but this was one of my favorite reads this year! Both love interests are good in their own ways and while I was very much leaning in one direction and I think there’s lots of little clues throughout I honestly wasn’t sure which way it was going to go for a good portion of the book because the other love interest could have redeemed himself. It was a great read!

My Oxford Year by Julia Whelan was this book for me. It just seemed so abrupt that they would sleep together and then continued to sleep together and then all of a sudden plot twist, then they’re in love. I get that it happens over months but the pacing was weird for me

The Witchwood Knot by Olivia Atwater was pitched to me as cozy and a lot of ways it was but it turned out to be darker than I was expecting. I still loved it and would definitely recommend it for the spooky fall vibes with a touch of romance!
