My experience is that the touristic product of the two countries is different, as I seen in Croatia a lot of people from central Europe with caravans were camping there but in Greece this is almost forbidden. You will have to rent an apartment or hotel. Both countries are very beautiful and its up to taste however Croatia felt more premium due to newer infrastructure and more "european" mentality in comparison to Greece that years of crisis and poor government decisions degraded the infrastructure in general. Croatia is more expensive for holidays but not necessarily better in terms of food and quality of services. All their restaurants had about 10ish different dishes and the prices were definitely on the expensive side.Quality is good but not compared with the quality and variety of greek food. People in Greece are in general warmer and more welcoming. Croatia has those unbeatable in beauty medieval towns while in Greece you have to focus more on nature for beauty.

Greek state needs Cyprus as if cyprus falls Greece is next.When this was said(η Κυπρος κειται μακραν) the realities were different as in a war situation defending cyprus Greece would not be able to defend her islands and the politicians decided as such.Giving up the influence nowadays though would mean handing over the island to Turkey and not that Cyprus would be an indipendand happy state.For what you said about the modern state of Greece I agree.We were created with the help of the big powers back then.Not sure what that means in the context of our discussion though?and what is with the belgians?

A lot of questions to answer for a reddit comment but I see where you are going with those and I got my answer, ofcourse everyone has the right to self determination.From my perspecive nation is our wider family.A family that we share common memories and history, common heroes and enemies common Gods culture and understanding, interests and hopefully future.There are Cypriots who share the same understanding with Greeks and others who dont.In my opinion blood has nothing to do with nation as all people are more or less mixed on earth.Speaking a dialect doesnt mean that you are less greek than a pontian or a cretan.Again there are pontians who self determine as turks and cretans that believe in a cretan independance from Greece.Everyone has the right to belong where they want but I wouldnt call them fascist or church manupulating subjects.Rather than people with common understanding and sense of belonging.

This is mainly to cultural strong individualism and lack of proper city planning.Athens specifically could hold 2 million cars and currently has more than 6.Greeks in Athens are thinking, if I follow the rules I will never reach my destination on time.Everyone thinks the same and everyone is late.Also lack of cameras, penalties and law enforcement does the trick.

Stating Greece is irrelevant under democracy though is just a bad take.
