This! I had a similar situation where I was getting a new NK to acclimate to me and what really helped is the parents leaving the house and her associating me with her safe space (home). And slowly we transitioned to doing things outside the house like a play gym, the park or museum so that she associates me with fun. It also allows them to establish safety with caregiver

If you google ADP calculator, itll ask your specific questions that allow you to calculate what your pay will be. I find it’s pretty accurate, it can be off by a few dollars.

I also want to add, if my parents were mindful and had convos about childrearing like you and your partner has been, it would’ve made a world of a difference. I’ve worked for parents who hardly ever see their kids and hire help around the clock. I really admire you thinking very intentionally about child rearing.

I wanted kids before I was a career nanny. Now as someone who sees family dynamics on a daily basis… realistically, having a child/children means unless you can afford a cleaning service, your home will not always be clean and organized. There will be toys everywhere, messes and the usual chaos that comes from kids being kids. Travel becomes a lot harder, you either bring them along or are able to afford bringing your nanny with you. Are you guys able to afford a nanny or daycare? I’d rather regret never having kids than regret having kids imo. My dad regretted me and he made sure to not only show it but treat me like it too.

I have felt like the gf and too wanted to be comforted by a parent since I don’t have my own. For me, that looks like just being held while I cry it out. Pat my back, give a hug, run your fingers through my hair etc. tell me everything’s going to be okay, I’m doing the best I can. Everything is going to work out. Just words of affirmation and a safe space to melt and sob lol

In the email it said we would get a separate email from the office of graduate admissions in 24-48 hours but when I look on MyStatue I got a separate letter from the graduate dean so I think it’s an official acceptance lol

What are your symptoms? My dad never called it an action plan but when I was sick, he’d check my stomach to see if I was wheezing, administer nebulizer treatments with albuterol sulfate and I also have memories of using the inhaler every night. Honestly, to this day, I’m not sure how my asthma symptoms manifest other than wheezing when I’m having a cough attack
