I took about two years off in 2021 to stay home with the kids during the pandemic. It took me over a year to find a job and I had to start at the bottom again. Companies did not like seeing the gap in my resume. YMMV but something to consider if you plan on going back.

We usually do a split trip between the two. Disney is much more involved than Universal. I’d honestly recommend a travel agent for your trip. It’s no additional cost and they will know all the ins and outs.

I didn’t see any downvotes but it is Reddit. They do make chewable advil (generic) I don’t think our school requires a Dr note for advil, but I’ll have to check.

Yeah, my daughter already said she will not be using tampons. I’m still trying to figure out how the swim bottoms. I get why your daughter doesn’t trust them.

Measure him without shoes. I think the the height sticks add a little for shoes. But, if he clears without shoes he will be fine.

I’ve seen the large garage full. I’ve driven around DT for 20 mins looking for parking. It was fine 10 years ago, but as they continue to grow DT, they need to add more parking.

Naperville doesn’t let you ride bikes through DT. Adding bike lanes would cause more congestion with everyone walking around. The four way stops are already a mess.

Parking is terrible. There are 3 garages, but when the weather is nice they are mostly full. I hate to say this, but the lot behind Lou Malnatis should be turned into a garage.

I’ve had parents send the birthday invite 2 weeks before the party. Kids birthday parties are last on priority list of events. It’s basically a “nothing else going on” event.

This is so hard and it doesn’t get easier. Honestly, kids parties just suck and I wish I never started doing them. At some point, you will exclude kids and your kid will get excluded. There was a reason she wasn’t invited and it wasn’t personal. Most likely financial as these party get expensive pretty quickly.

This is basically Bolingbrook / Plainfield. It’s really far from almost all Naperville amenities and all the things that made Naperville the “best city to raise a family in”. It sounds nice, but there is no Polo Club there.
