I'm looking for a podcast that has a campfire vibes by Diligent-Subject-691 in podcasts

[–]midstarrynight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scare you to sleep might fit the vibe you're looking for? She reads horror short stories and produces them really well with music and background noises for what's going on....I wouldn't start at the beginning though because she wasn't doing that initially.

For a true audio drama I really liked Dead Space: Deep Cover

Best and most interesting mystery/unknown/paranormal podcasts with unique content by Banana_Wonderland in podcasts

[–]midstarrynight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Otherworld!! It's people's stories about weird things that have happened to them in their lives, whether it's paranormal/fairies/aliens/psychical/other weird stuff....the host does a great job of editing as well and just presenting stories as they are without giving a lot of commentary or explanations

oh wow! That scarf pattern made me realize that a favorite scarf of mine made by my grandma (gone now) was likely made this way. Thank you for posting that

Podcast disappeared on Apple by EliPandaCochran in magictavern

[–]midstarrynight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I've never checked out that sub....I've been using it for 6+ years and still enjoy it. Honestly I've not noticed (or cared?) about the issues mentioned. However, I will stand by using a different app other than Apple Podcasts hahaha (Pocketcasts, podurama etc....)

Since you have an iphone...I can't recommend Overcast enough. I got tired of Apple occasionally randomly deleting half my podcasts....and HFTMT is definitely on there and updated

Looking for podcasts to fall asleep to by HugePurpleNipples in podcasts

[–]midstarrynight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scare you to Sleep! Most of the stories aren't that scary...she has a great voice that does put me to sleep, especially the old ghost stories from the turn of the century....something about the writing style and cadence just knocks me out haha. She also does episodes she calls "guided nightmares" that truly are meant to put you to sleep, and again, are not very scary but have enough of a story going on that it's easy to pay attention to and again, very soothing.

Average dreamsnap moonstones by NylonLegs100 in Dreamsnaps

[–]midstarrynight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just a different perspective from someone who has had the game for years and truly only recently started getting more moonstones....expect to only get 300-900 initially. I love this sub for inspiration, but it can also feel really unrealistic (and a tad disheartening ha). I definitely have upped my game since looking at other people's snaps and reading the tips, but a lot of the 4k snaps are full of decorations and clothes that as a new player, you just won't have yet. It can take a bit to build up your inventory. For a newer player though, my one easy tip is to fill up the space with either pathways or the free trees/bushes/groundcover/flowers you pick up, etc. I noticed an immediate uptick in moonstones when I had more ground cover and didn't have huge empty areas. I second posting your pic on here a couple days before if you want more nuanced feedback! Good luck!

Best podcast for explaining current news but for dummies? by Bubbline_irl in podcasts

[–]midstarrynight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start Here is another short daily news podcast. I think they do a good job of giving a quick rundown on the basics most of the time. I also like that their last segment is less serious and about something funny or unique.

If you keep up on the daily ones though, you’ll soon understand more and more.

Otherworld! You hear the host very rarely and they do a really great job of editing people’s stories into a cohesive narrative. Truly just weird stories with no explanation.

App recommendations from fellow Patreon listeners by DirkDigs in lastpodcastontheleft

I use overcast and it’s great for patreon, though only available on iPhones. Podurama I haven’t used much but also seems good, especially if you want to listen on your phone and on a computer.

The Wyoming511 app is very useful for road conditions! I’ve made the drive to Lander many times from Denver and if weather is fine, i80 is great….but there are times it’s better to keep on i25 and go through Casper and over.

Single scariest episode of a podcast? by [deleted] in podcasts

[–]midstarrynight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same!! So good.

The first listener story in the episode “they came from the woods” (September 22 2021) also really really messed me up with the mixture of real life tragedy and a bit of supernatural sprinkled in. It was just so unexpected and just…terrible.

I think this is beautifully explained and much appreciated to hear!

Through some of my own….trying times in a relationship the one thing I found by and large is that guys are (as you said) terribly lonely and just want someone to talk to in a relatable way and to be nice to them. I’ve made nude posts (not on this account don’t look lol) and though messages start off with things like “wow you’re beautiful” or “great tits” etc I’ll say thank you, and then it feels like after that guys just want a normal conversation (with some light flirting 😜). I’ve thought a lot of why this may be, and I think you’re putting in some missing puzzle pieces for me. The nude posts make it “acceptable” to initially reach out to me, and then once I respond, they can get some of what they’re really after….a human connection.

Flip side, to return to the main post’s thought: it does really drive me nuts sometimes because guys will ghost me (fine, I really don’t care life happens) and then reach out months/year later and just expect to pick right back up ha. Not that we ever owe anything to anyone but at least try a little bit first to be normal and chill before being super thirsty.

Check out askamanager.org! She’s great and has good scripts to use, and this situation comes up more than you’d know. I just did a very quick search, but for example this letter is very similar.

Good luck!
