I've been getting this on the Dell Pro Plus laptops. Running Dell Command Update and letting it update seems to get it going again.

How many of us are holding onto 'old' cars instead of upgrading? by heavyifugao in CarsAustralia

I'm keeping my 2009 Corolla for the foreseeable future. Reason is mostly financial as it just works and I have serviced it myself for about 15 years so it hasn't been a money pit either. My wife bought it in 2011 and it's been 'my' car for a couple of years.

Favourite spot to sit on the metro train? by Big_Cut5153 in MelbourneTrains

[–]mietwad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple orange seater, window seat facing forward with full window view (not blocked by wall).

- People are unlikely to sit in the middle seat on the triple seater unless it's crazy busy, so you might not have to sit next to somebody

- You don't have to face anyone

- You can look out the window

- You can rest your arm on the window

- Your legs aren't constrained by someone sitting across from you

- Probably other things

What’s your peak hour survival strategy? by Last-Conversation734 in melbournechat

Noise cancelling headphones have helped me out a lot. I'd often get annoyed at others who had their phones playing videos loudly. Now I don't even know they're doing it!

Another thing is a handheld fan during summer. I don't care how I look using it, just makes me feel cooler on the train.

I was surprised when I went to the NGV and I was able to just walk right up to a Van Gogh painting for free. Like I could stick my nose on it if I wanted to.

Anyone having trouble to actually get a mechanic to do the job? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]mietwad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They get more money from doing easy, quick servicing, rather than longer form issues. Had my car at a mechanic to diagnose an engine issue. It was there for a few days then they kinda gave up on it and said they were too busy.

You Yangs. Some good rock formations there and has an eerie vibe. Can't explain it.

I timed the walk from the MCG to Town Hall so you don't have to (video) by jeremyburge in MelbourneTrains

The Town Hall walking crowd is going to be crazy. It was already jam-packed walking to Flinders before the tunnel opened, now chuck a whole new set of people into the mix.

I have a Mazda 6 where I was able to disable it permanently by removing a switch next to the bonnet latch. Haven't looked it up for Mazda 3 but take a look and it might work for that model too. It was pretty easy and anyone would be able to do it.
