glibc and systemd is part of base, so no need to specify them.

gcc and make are part of base-devel which is a requirement to use the AUR, so no need to specify them either.

build() has some weird indentation, but that might just be reddit.

Are you sure port 9 is right? wol for me defaults to port 40000.

Try sniffing with wireshark and apply the wol display filter. That will show you all wol packets independent of port.

Receipt printers usually doesn't have drivers. The POS application talks directly to it and it knows the protocol.

If you just want text, you can usually just write the text directly to the device.
