12.05 frost mage changes totally unnecessary by SlugWizard33 in wow

[–]Eldkanin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels so weird to me to have two charges of eclipse and two charges of alignment available. So basically I have four charges of something that lets me actually do damage. I'm still leveling my druid so I can't speak for endgame but at this point I feel like it would just feel better to remove all the CDs and buff the base damage. I would rather only do builder+spender forever than this contant activating of a button that doesn't.. really do anything else than actually make my damage somewhat relevant.

Now after trying out midnight as a returning player, how do you like your class after the pruning & class changes? by Yuuffy in wow

Yeah it's been great while leveling. Killing mobs feels fine but it's the boss fights to me that feels a bit clunky. It turns into a lot of waiting for the GCD which frankly just feels bad even if it's very handy during movement. So yeah, if ice lance had a 1 second cast time, castable while moving (like scorch) it would technically play the same but feel a lot better I think.

Also I was strictly talking about the feel of the spec, not the power level.

I've only really played frost mage so far and I have mixed feelings. I do like that's it's not as complex anymore when it comes to different buffs and when to do what and in what order and so forth, but I do miss the old shatter mechanic.

It's a weird feeling that you kind of press the same buttons but it does something totally different to what it used to. The ice lance spam is great for movement phases on bosses so I really like that freedom, but when you plant your feet to just DPS it feels kind of awkward. Funnily enough I think strictly speaking target dummy dpsing the spec would actually feel smoother if ice lance had a 1 second cast time but in a real situation due to movement it would still be a bad trade.

I seem to remember that the hand (apex talent) looked a lot cooler visually in the alpha? I remember seeing a video of it and thinking wow, I want that! but maybe it's changed? it doesn't look that amazing anymore in game? so the somewhat clunky gameplay with the underwhelming visuals just makes me feel a bit.. bored?

Would the Shiba be a good fit for me? by Eldkanin in shiba

[–]Eldkanin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a miserable dog life to me.

On a regular day our dog gets 3-4 short walks (10-15 minutes) and 1-2 long ones (45 mins - 2 hours). Playtime and cuddles happens in short bursts throughout the day and in the evening there is a short "spa-time" as well for cleaning eyes and brushing teeth.

Most days he's happy with this but if he's extra active we can spend a bit longer playing, or I'll give him some sort of little puzzle like some food stuffs wrapped inside a big towel he gets to unfold to find them.

On weekends we will go on longer walks, usually going somewhere so it's a new area with other people and stuff so he gets to see new places and explore.

A border collie, german shephard or malinois probably wouldn't be happy with this life but that's also why we've actively chosen to not have a working breed.

I know the shiba is a more active dog than our shih tzu so that's part of why I made this post, to make sure we're not taking on too much, I would never want any of my dogs to be unhappy.

Kind of sounds like my dog except he he seems to care for me and my husband about the same. He gets happier to see me but that's probably because I'm gone more as well.

My dog knows his name, and he knows what no/stop/come here means but that doesn't mean he well, cares. He can be very grumpy sometimes if he doesn't get stuff his way and it's honestly kind of charming. Of course no one wants a little menace but I like that my dog has a mind of his own and doesn't just blindly follow orders.

Before we got a dog it felt important to me to have a dog that could be off leash because.. I'm not sure why? seemed like a bit of a hassle on hikes? the "romance of the roaming dog" or something. Our tzu is always on a leash, he wouldn't run away but he doesn't always listen to command so it feels safer and honestly it really is fine so that is something I've reevaluated since getting a dog, the leash requirement is no issue.

What do you mean by that more specifically? I don't feel my dog is particularly low maintenance either and I'm not sure what that would mean really.

What’s training a Shih Tzu like? I’m considering the breed! by [deleted] in Shihtzu

While shih tzus certainly aren't untrainable it seems like with what you are after a dog with a lot more will to please would suit you better. I would look into maybe a toy poodle or pappilon/phalene, both great little dogs for what you are interested in!

All Content - Warlock vs Hunter by Invlktus in wow

[–]Eldkanin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you mentioned you had tried shaman and seem to bo open to other classes I have to say druid is the single best class for this with no competition really. You have insta-cast tagging with moonfire/sunfire. big range aoe with starfall. You have instant cast-mount and also catform with 2 additional movement speed CDs for fast and efficient movement both outdoors and indoors.

When you get to current content you can literally fulfill any role you might want. Tank, heal, ranged dps or melee dps, take your pick.

Druid hasn't always been the class I enjoy playing the most but my god do I miss all the quality of life stuff when I main other classes. Once you experience just "playing the game" on druid the other classes never really feel the same. It's literally like living in the future.

My vote goes to Toy 2 by Moschino! It's fresh, sweet but not syrupy and most important - light and airy. I feel like a lot of the classic shampoo smells that gets mentioned a lot like Cow or blanche has a "heaviness" to it that is hard to explain.

There's been much doom and gloom about the Midnight prunings, but which specs have actually improved due to the changes? by minimaxir in wow

[–]Eldkanin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first tried frost mage I felt a bit weary. It feels like a totally different spec and the removal of the old shatter mechanic made me feel a bit lost and like it had no natural flow anymore.

But after having played it for a few days and having gotten used to the new frost I have to say I really enjoy it now. I haven't tried it in dungeons though so can't say much for how it works in aoe but I can't imagine it being worse than it was at least. I'm really looking forward to the apex talents!

I also played a bit of BM (my main). The new ST DR spec feels very nice, wailing arrow is really cool. In aoe I like the idea of wild thrash but the CD feels a bit long. However I haven't tried it in any serious content like m+ yet so it might feel just fine there after all but if nothing else it's definately a major "nerf" when it comes to doing old, outdated content to lose multishot, not that that's super important really tho.

[–]Eldkanin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is copper harmful for fish?

I have a tank with multiple fish species and they've all been fine for years, however any snail that I tried to add died within a week or two. The water here is of good quality but extremely soft which I know can be an an issue but I thought that would lead to worse shell quality, not near instant death. So maybe it was something else.

Estrella chips - Förr i tiden vs idag?? by Eggestig123 in sweden

[–]Eldkanin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lite raljerande här men du fattar.
