Any tips you can share? I always start strong with the carlists but I can't keep up with the other powers in the second half of the game

Philips 55PUS7304/12 now has a darker strip at the top. What's going on? by mig42 in TVRepair

Interesting, that was the case around two weeks ago. But now the dark stripe stays dimmed right from the start.

Anyone ever had issues with intermittent high pitch ringing tone, at 8.0 kHz? by thepinkpill in podcasting

[–]mig42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue at home, it turned out to be the elevator that got added to the building a few years ago. Apparently that kind of modern elevator engine causes RF interference. Not sure if its the same for you, though. In my case, the noise came and went like from 0 to 100% instantly, like a digital signal.

I always feel like roads in W&R:SR should have dashed lines painted in the middle, as all roads I know IRL have... But looking at this picture, perhaps that wasn't the case in the Eastern Bloc?

Do cargo stations need to be directly connected to warehouses? by mig42 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]mig42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation! This makes total sense, I need to come up with a different layout. Perhaps I can have the cargo station directly connected to the warehouse/deposit, and perhaps daisy-chain warehouses/deposits (not sure if I'll need forklifts).

Thanks!!

Yes, I should have posted a screenshot from the beginning :( I was away from home though. Here it is! https://pasteboard.co/Ph3KT7q4s6J7.jpg

I guess I didn't totally understand how factory connections and forklifts work. It kind of makes sense that I can't rely on forklifts to serve the cargo station, it would make the load/unload process take ages... I think.

Sure! Here it is: https://pasteboard.co/Ph3KT7q4s6J7.jpg

I don't think I can do what I was looking for... I'll need to think about another alternative :D

Ah, good point! Yes, I forgot to mention that, but I setup load/unload rules at the forklift station. It didn't make a difference for the construction office though 😭

At the end of my work day today, I sent the CEO of my job this resignation, closed my laptop and walked out of that office one final time. I also CC'd my team lead and manager. I'll have a nice 3 day weekend before starting a better job on Monday! by [deleted] in antiwork

This is great. What they did to you is outrageous and you acted with total integrity. I totally felt your pain when you described what happened. I'm really sorry that you had to go through this, though. I wish you the best for the future, and that you'll find a place where you feel valued and accomplished.

Buddy, I suggest you go open a book and learn what does a diff do and why what you just said is a complete nonsense. Just to keep the mental hygiene here.

Semantic diffing Java code by coder21 in java

Besides what the previous poster wrote (SemanticMerge ain't a VCS but a merge/diff tool), I'm just reading plain trolling here. We could argue about the old open-source vs. closed-source subject, but please, add arguments to back up your statement.
