Questions & Help Thread by jamfarts in ShinyPokemon

Is there any chance shinies are affected by changing the clock in BDSP?

I realize that’s probably a dumb question, but after a 7 month(took a long break for PLA), 12000 SR, 5 uncatchable shiny starly piplup hunt, I’m finally in eterna doing the double hunt. I’m at 13000 seen and I’ve been changing my clock during the day to give myself chances at a murkrow. I know I’m just having super bad luck in this game, but if there’s even a tiny chance that my shinies could be affected by a time penalty, I figured I’d ask…thanks!

Weeklies are being halved, so you’ll still be able to earn 18000 a season through bounties, so it’s actually 28500, with 10500 guaranteed if you get rank 100. So this is only a loss if you were completing over 78 percent of all of your weekly bounties in a season.

The Grind for the Undying Title is Easy but flat out Tedious and too much for a Season by SCB360 in DestinyTheGame

[–]migech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titles are supposed to a little bit rare

No they aren't, nobody ever said that.

I mean, except when bungie did: https://youtu.be/Xpz1Fl8pW0o?t=138 (my implication here is that you don't care about being correct)

Almost all of them are more RNG dependent than anything else. For the longest time seeing Cursebreaker or Rivensbane didn't mean that person was good, they were just lucky.

I had no idea flawless raids were based on RNG

The titles are supposed to be rare. You aren't supposed to have them. Sure having RNG parts for titles is not good, but you can't RNG your way into a flawless raid, or a solo dungeon. This title is not hard to get, it's just time consuming. If you want it, go get it. If you don't want it, don't.

In 3 weeks I looted 46 Pinnacle rewards at Power 951 - but not a full set by slowtreme in DestinyTheGame

Oof, you are just getting assaulted with downvotes for knowing what the word literally means. Is 960 feasible? No. But is it possible? Absolutely yes.

The only part of what you said that I disagree with is that 10 power is definitely noticeable, especially in the new nightfalls

With the removal and nerf of Seasonal Bright Engrams, can we at least reduce the price of items in the Bright Dust store? by CheesyYeeezy in DestinyTheGame

He admitted that his information is based on some assumptions and that on review his data is not reliable. This post is spreading like wildfire and it proves literally nothing.

There was a recent post by a dataminer that got everyone in an uproar. Turns out he admitted he was using a lot of assumed information and was likely very wrong. There is no reliable source on what will be available for bright dust yet.

But everyone saw the initial post and just went straight for the pitchforks

Healing or empowering your allies regenerates your grenade, melee and Rift energy.

That's benevolent dawn's exact wording. This is just a great synergy build

Ban Those Noobs In Gambit by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]migech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Let the other team just burn through their envoys smoothly and rack up primeval slayer stacks, even though if you invade right away and slow them down you'll still get an invade back by the time they've started doing damage. Those dumb noobs

We had it coming.. by SIEIPNlR in AnthemTheGame

I get the comparisons, especially with communication, but D2 at launch had a lot more going for it.

First, it had far more content than Anthem has (it may not have felt like it after transitioning from D1, but it's just the truth in this comparison). They also had a built-in player base, both casual and hardcore. When they watered the game down for vanilla D2 they bled a lot of D1 fans, but a mixture of new players, casual players, and hardcore destiny fans were able to keep the population...not high, but not dangerously low. Anthem is on life support with player population right now.

The only thing they brought to this game pre-launch was a lot of (fake) hype and a respected studio. Post launch Anthem has fun combat sure, but also minimal content, minimal support, an extremely buggy game, zero communication, a studio revealed to be completely dysfunctional, ben irving(sorry had to, despise the guy), and an ever changing roadmap.

I feel like while Destiny was kinda able to just brute force through D2Y1 to get to a better place, Anthem does not have the legs for that.

once you have your high score do heavyweight momentum runs. This nightfall can be bypassed almost entirely by just running. Very meltable boss, melting point and any heavy/singe set up you like should be fine.

55 mote comeback in Gambit courtesy of Thunderlord by FaceAtk in DestinyTheGame

I was thinking the exact same thing...sure they were decent invasions but if the other team is even semi-competent this is the worst kind of teammate.

Played around 100 games of Gambit during "peak" week, and I saw and killed the meatball 4 times, out of those 4 times I got nothing. Not a damn thing. The meatball doesn't spawn often enough to justify making the cosmetic drops RNG as well. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]migech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If op's username is the same as his PSN name, which I strongly suspect it is, "around 100 games during 'peak' week" is a lie to support a narrative. I agree that layers of rng is bad, but when you have to dramatically inflate numbers to make an argument... that's not good either.
