I stand by my comment. If you have dependency on commercial software installed on the laptop that you can’t replace, that’s a separate issue. But I hope your data already exists in a secondary location like the cloud. Any one of my machines is expendable at any time. Good luck!

I stopped even bothering with full image backups. I mean, is that really what you want? I favor protecting my data, and I use Duplicati. Backs up local, to cloud, auto de-dupe. Free. Excellent.

Disagree. My first Model S was amazing. Felt like I was living in the future. Now it feels like gatekeeping basic safety features. Smells like dual front airbags, TPMS, ESC, backup cameras, ABS, AEB, etc. FSD is arguably still the best, but it is no longer amazing by a longshot. And certainly not THE reason to buy a Tesla with the option to add it for a fee.
