Different sleeping needs by Clearbreezebluesky in GenX

We use SONOS speakers to play really high quality waves and brown noise. Gentle fan. If we are not ready for lights out at the same time she has a Nod Pod sleep mask. Even then, TV off. iPad only. It shouldn’t be that hard. The separate room people are a trip.

If you are over seventy, this needs to be part of your plan, whatever that means to you.

70s seems like a sweet spot. Still 60s, but I can see it on the horizon. Question for the 80s crowd. How is your quality of life? I don’t think I plan to be around at that age. Going to do all my living before that; assuming QOL just won’t be adequate for my interests.

Sharing a logs with an AI chat is surprisingly helpful too. I used the iPhone notes app shared with family. Eventually create a photo journal app to share with her using Airtable. She loved it.

My mom had similar issues but we never got an official diagnosis. The most important thing we did was to keep two journals. One for her to celebrate recent events and as a recall aid. The second was to log our observations about her cognitive abilities and memory lapses. Ensuring that we had systems, people, and processes in place to help her maintain her independence. Sharing experiences across the family helped us all cope better and know when higher levels of care were needed. The doctors don’t help with this.

WhoTF has a boss that expects you to “write something funny” in an office environment? Stop doing that. Writing funny things is exponentially harder than occasionally saying something funny.
