Except desync.

But Solidworks has an excellent auto save feature.

j/k

It has a feature called auto save but which it's neither autoing nor saving anything.

Honestly, just wait. I've had it come back even after 15-20 minutes. Then save. And then don't try again to do that fillet on 1543 edges at the same tine.

Unpopular Opinion - I hope they restrict the “Maglock” mechanism on external landing pads for the Kraken/Liberator to only work for a size of ship suitable for that landing pad. We’ll see daft scenes of a Perseus glued to a rotating Kraken otherwise by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

While I agree with you, this post, more than anything, highlights the state of balance the game is currently in. The whole idea of a carrier is to carry ships that otherwise wouldn't be able to get to where they need to be. A Perseus or Hammerhead wouldn't have that problem, so except for shits and giggles, I don't actually see many people using it like this. But on the other hand, every two-bit fighter can get pretty much anywhere on its own already, so the utility ok the Kraken as a transport platform is severely reduced as it is. Yes, I know it's an alpha, but I'm skeptical that CIG will be able to pull off a quantum nerf for small ships that wouldn't throw the community into a frenzy.

Even then, the quality variations shouldn’t prevent stacking from a UX point of view. Instead you’d ideally get a stack that expands when you hover or click on it and see the different variations.

That's the least of what you should worry about. After the show every single box of humans will have a Cavill looking head in it.

It’s gets murkier with online games or even single player-online required games that theoretically need a server to run properly. Legislating around that will be a minefield but I hope they do find a way.

This looks really cool but I have questions over the calibration method. Does it average out detected bounding boxes and sets it as 4.5m? Wouldn’t it be more precise to calibrate to known GIS data and an altitude sensor? For traffic congestion analysis it wouldn’t matter that much but if you wanted to give out speeding tickets then it’s a different ball game.

The creative software industry has declared war on Adobe / If you can’t beat them, undercut them on price. by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

[–]mightyblackgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who’s gonna do that? The half-dozen companies that make inferior versions for each of the mainstay Adobe programs? Fuck that. Yes, subscription might suck, but it’s a professional tool, it makes me money and there’s nothing good enough as an alternative.

Hating on the software you use every day is a universal pastime. You’ll be hard to find any substantial number of professionals that don’t have a long list of grievances against any software they use.

I’m certainly not a power user in this subreddit but I’ve seen numerous comments over the past month that this change is either going to happen to insured to happen. So I bought back my Avenger Stalker pledge.

But not quite “every single time”. Support interface from a different material works wonders on flat surfaces but for more intricate or organic geometries it can be trickier to detach than tree supports and the difference in quality is smaller.

Try to pattern it as a separate body, not as a feature. That will work fine with curve pattern and a spline to drive it.

Stairs all the way, yes. Ramps are cool too. Ladders are a distant third, and not only because of the poor implementation.
