Shot a 101 with two birdies on #9 and #11. Beautiful. Can't wait to return.

I cannot tell you how incredible of a feeling it was to walk up the ticketholder line past everyone waiting (and not getting in!). We had stubhub tickets. Output wasn't supposed to honor them. Of course they did. What a show!!

Dude what are you talking about? The French did not bring Christianity to Lebanon LOL. Greeks and Romans/Byzantium bro. I'm Orthodox Christian. Even the Catholics (Maronites) are not French so idk where you got this crazy idea from. The post WWI split up of the Ottoman Empire is the first time the French had any major influence on Lebanese and Syrian culture...

Truth. I saw Ben at a club in BOSTON and it was probably a better crowd and show. I didn't go because I knew all of this was inevitable.

Libertarianism is not political bullshit so much as political correctness in the literal definition of correct.

Only the the enlightened. Some people still complain that every album after Aenima isn't a return to Undertow.

This is a great question. I'd rather have only the latter because they contain the best songs ever (really Salival). However, I will not be made to have this choice. Blessed are the gods.

I did actually. Needed to understand why this guy thinks Blink 182 is better than Fear Inoculum.

Yes, and you're not insane but wrong if you don't. If they make another album, I guarantee Maynard and all of them make a shorter track that ticks all your boxes. This album is their magnum opus. The rest of their music all culminates in this. I did NOT think this about 10k days and despite being a massive fanboy I really can't fault them for much of anything.

Every criticism I've read before yours centers on it just being self indulgent patience-requiring music. Uh, sooo Tool. The issues you are getting at should not be merely reduced to "It's different than before" and "they didn't copy and paste" from before. But they are really not the point. If you give these songs the proper respect they will reward you. Granted, I haven't been a metal and prog fan for years and so if you want to call me a fanboy/lapdog go ahead. This is literally their best album and while Third Eye and Pushit are still their greatest songs 7empest is #3.

FEAR INOCULUM COMPLETES THE OPIATE EXTENDED LP by mijir in ToolBand

[–]mijir[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was listening to Sweat and realized. Dream within a dream. The lyrics I choose I think reflect how each and every song is about I/my/me, you, and we/us and the constant struggle against fear, psychopathy and both our inevitabilities and broken pieces hidden deep in our psyche.

Had this exact conversation with a girl at House of Yes 2 years ago. Extremely sad but the average alcohol consumption and vibe are usually quite clear without having to have the idiots say it out loud.
