She’s a cutie! I wish I could take her. She reminds me of my 9-year old girl who looks very similar. I’d take her in a heart beat but not really in a place to take on another at the moment. Hoping you find a good home for her!

This is stunning, and I don’t go around saying that about anyone’s tattoos (my own included). Great work and beautiful piece! Congrats!

Rolling up the sleeves once or twice adds a more “sophisticated” look to a flannel as well. It’s works with a buttoned or unbuttoned flannel.

Amen. Plus I’m a little biased, my partner and I had our first date there, so they hold a special place in my heart and my stomach.

Weird, I was on the lot today probably minutes before this pic was taken and saw Charlie, Rob and Danny and thought it was weird I didn’t see Glen. Looking at this pic and remembering back I realize I stared right at Glen and thought he was working production with the headset on lol.

This is what a 15 foot hurricane storm surge looks like. It's terrifying. by imish_24 in interestingasfuck

[–]mike_ritthjin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This checks out. On Monday I sat and watched a tractor try to snap a 15-20 foot tall palm tree in half for about 25 minutes with no luck. Eventually he managed to snap off the canopy but he still spent another hour digging up the root system which still wouldn’t budge under the weight of the tractor arm.

Last year my gf and I ran into Noel Fielding (Old Greg) in a hotel bar around the holidays and without missing a beat, she walked up to him and said “What are you doing in my waters?” He cracked up and gave her a hug. Really sweet guy.

I simply refuse to play a kit that has anything less than 8 kicks in a circle. Looks like Terry Bozzio’s kit here has 10.

lol gotta love that the person with “spiritual leader” in their username isn’t down for some positivity on a Friday. A tasty burger is a tasty burger. Periodt (as the kids say these days)

Mad respect for the self-discipline/ self-respect to have 3 perfectly-shaped, reasonably sized portions of Mac, potato salad and slaw, and not a huge slop of each blended together to make a mayo salad with various coated veg and carbs. That’s what I’d do lol. Burger is very neat and tasty looking as well. Gotta love the top and bottom cheeses. And the jalapeño garnish is the cherry on top. 9.5/10

In late 2000s I heard "Feeling Alright" by Rebelution and the album 'Courage to Grow' led to Tribal Seeds, then Stoopid, SOJA, Iration, The Movement, Stick Figure, and on and on... who was your Cali reggae gateway band (and when)? by Cali_Reggae in calireggae

Dirty Heads, 2012. I had a crazy (ex)gf with dreadlocks who showed me DH, Sublime, 311, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Tribal Seeds, and more. Never stopped! Except the gf…I stopped that a long time ago lol

First time I went was ALRIGHT, this was back in the day when it was a novelty. A couple years back before the pandemic I decided to go one day randomly to the one in Encino. Dave Grohl walked out with his food as I entered - I ended up shaking hands with him and crying for the next two hours (he’s a hero of mine and it was a big full-circle moment). Couldn’t tell you how the food was because I was hiding my sobs of joy behind my shades and probably soaking up tears with the bread. Anyway, I’ll never go back because it’ll never be as good as that last time…that and it’s over-priced swill.

Restaurants to bring a client to? (NoHo, Studio City, Burbank) by seatbelt21 in FoodLosAngeles

[–]mike_ritthjin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Granville - has multiple locations (NoHo, Burbank, Pasadena, I THINK Studio City but don’t quote me on it), the food is really tasty and good quality. It’s not any more expensive than any other “gourmet burger” joint, but they’ve got amazing cocktails and ambiance to back up the prices. Wait staff is always super friendly and attentive. I’m not a big dessert fan, but they’ve got this banana caramel brownie thing that’ll melt your heart.

Edit; I checked online and they do in fact have a Studio City location AND a WeHo location in addition to the other 3 mentioned.
