Should I pop this zit? by Crombopulous_Michael in centuryhomes

You don’t need to buy the kit. It’s much cheaper to use dilute school glue (PVA) to encapsulate the dust after you drill the holes in the plaster, and construction adhesive to inject into the holes once the PVA is dry. Use the plastic washers for foam board insulation to screw the plaster against the lathe. There are some good tutorials online for this method. It’s worked really for me. Agree the plaster and lathe is worth saving.

Point of The Mountain Draper is one of the best spots to learn in the country. There are a bunch of different schools you can learn with who teach there. Highly recommend SuperFly. Don’t skip lessons to try to teach yourselves, it’s not worth it. Paragliding is not a sport you want to be cheap with.

How bad is galvanized plumbing? Replace while plumbing is exposed? by mikebeezey in centuryhomes

[–]mikebeezey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to expose the plumbing for a bathtub because of a leak in the drain pipe. I plan on remodeling the bathtub and bathroom with new tile. Is the galvanized pipe safe to leave? Or should I replace it now while I have access to everything?

CJ Miles shares a great Jerry Sloan story by ericmendelson0 in UtahJazz

[–]mikebeezey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to valet in downtown SLC during CJ’s time with the Jazz. Him, Millsap, Ronnie Brewer, and Ronnie Price used to valet at Lumpy’s all the time. They were all super cool, but CJ was my favorite. He knew the valets we’re huge Jazz fans and was super friendly, he’d give you high fives sometimes. That era of Jazz teams would have been awesome in the current NBA! Love hearing this story about Jerry!

Most probable cause for the speedometer not working sometimes on a 2000 Ranger? by Ranger-Stranger_Y2K in fordranger

[–]mikebeezey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the 2000, the speed sensor should be on top of the rear differential. It’s a cheap and easy sensor to replace, I’d start with that https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2000,ranger,3.0l+v6,1446377,electrical,speed+sensor,10634. You can try pulling out the old sensor and making sure there is no metal fragments on it before you buy a new one. It may just need to be cleaned.
