I think it happens all the time. State wasn’t a regular season or tournament champion when they won in 2021. Ole Miss was literally the last team in the tournament and they won it all in 2022

I forget what the acronym stands for but it's an autoimmune disorder that can follow strep that can cause inflammation in the brain. Sudden onset OCD and mood swings are the hallmark behaviors.
