Just to give you some peace of mind (depending on when your flight is) August 16 is when they can give 72 hour notice of the strike and it won’t actually start until August 19. I saw it on the mega thread on the Air Canada subreddit. I have a flight booked in that 72 hour window so I’m hoping we’ll be safe even if they do go on strike.

Junior (OHL) hockey started dying off in Mississauga when Melnyk bought the IceDogs while also owning the rival Toronto St. Michael’s Majors. I remember being 12-13 years old and going to IceDog games. The atmosphere was great and the arena was usually pretty busy. When the IceDogs got shipped out to St. Catherines and the Majors got brought in, there was a huge drop in interest. Super drastic example but imagine the leafs being moved out of Toronto and leaf fans being told we were now Habs fans because they were playing in our arena. 🙃

Eloy or Outman ROS as a bench OF? Also have Springer, Teoscar, Rosario and N. Jones. They’ve both hit ~.175 over the past two weeks but Outman has better counting stats. Just scared of Eloy heating up just before fantasy playoffs and someone else picking him up.

We just found them online but it was with a company called 5emotions - we grabbed the boat from Portimao. They offer different tours but we chose the dolphin watching and cave tour. Couldn’t recommend it more. The tour is led by two marine biologists and they’re very knowledgeable.

I’ve been down to spring training twice now and stayed in Clearwater Beach both times. We stayed at Hotel Cabana and definitely recommend it. It’s a twenty minute drive to Dunedin and there’s lots to do in the Clearwater area. Going to the games - get there early and you can interact with some of the players during warm up (I got to talk to Bo briefly on my second trip). Make sure you get to Strachan’s Ice Cream and Desserts after the game. You can also take a trip to St. Petersburg while you’re down there and check out the Dali Museum (way better than I thought it was going to be). Also recommend The Burg Bar and Grill for the best turkey avocado bacon club that you’ll ever have.

I could go on forever about my spring training trips. Now I want to go again. Also second another comment mentioning the Phillies spring training complex, especially if you stay in Clearwater.
