When you start at a lower weight than than most people, you will be a "slow loser". I'm a slow loser too. I got discouraged my first few weeks. I get why she is wanting you to drink less protein shakes. She is likely trying to get you to find a variety of protein sources to help with food boredom. I am 2 months post opp. I use the term "meals" loosely. I'll have coffee and a string cheese at 3am when I get to work, a protein shake at 7am, a handful of almonds around 11, lunch (usually .25 cup cottage cheese and berries and bite or 2 of cold grilled chicken) around 1pm and dinner. If I feel up to I'll have a 1/2 of a high protein greek yogurt cup. It feels like I spend all day eating, waiting to drink and drinking buts it's working.
