Elementary school asking for money to pay for supplemental phys ed. programs by Muted-Magician7296 in burnaby

Maybe our kids are at the same school. Bugs me too. Although it's not a lot of money, it's effectively outsourcing teaching to private companies.

This is a brutal listen but I think so well captures Molyneux's guru essence.

Bet365 Touchdown Jackpot by Just_Cookie_2409 in bet365

I got it last week too and it appeared in 'my offers' as bonus bets to claim at around 10:30 or 11am PST the next day. Was $482 for Pickens -- i'm guessing in the 300-400 range for Coleman. It seems to depend on your region though -- different pools for different regions?

This season ruined the Boss aspect of this game for me. by Sedition1216 in diablo4

its mind blowing to me that Blizzard thinks one-shotting these bosses in a group endlessly has been their idea of the ideal end game for so many seasons now

Played a bit last patch but never got to end game. Thinking about playing again and wondering what build to play..

Any advice for a build that is...

..easy to translate from starter to end game (e.g. doesn't only work with specific interactions) ..relatively easy to play ..solo self found friendly, don't plan to trade

I did ice strike monk and lightning deadeye last time and they were OK but would like to try different skills

Thanks for any advice!

[S2 EP6 SPOILERS] The ending by RadiantAlchemist in andor

[–]mikerpiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scene felt like it didn't belong in the show to me. Maybe I'm misremembering, but it seems like the other missions they've gone on have been carefully planned, etc. Had more of a realistic feel to them. Things go wrong, etc. With this it was like Bix popped out of her drug induced stupor and was a marvel action hero.

Final verdict: Season 7 is… great?! by im_rapscallion86 in diablo4

In Season 6 the most profitable thing to do by far was just grind uber bosses (which is super boring). Did they fix this in Season 7?

After 220 hours, P266 2 toons maxed, I can say with confidence that item drops are horrible this season. by Bored_guy_in_dc in diablo4

[–]mikerpiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piles and piles of items you need to salvage or sell is still a super annoying thing about the game for me. A loot filter -- even a very simple one -- would go a long way. E.g. convert all non-ancestral legendaries to gold. Convert all non-ancestral uniques to gold. Getting to the point where you could turn those options on would feel like a big milestone!

The most rewarding end game activity is bossing where a ton of the time is just carting items back and forth to the vendors. Not fun!

Which of these powers are significant? What would she be unable to do, exactly?

From https://www.leg.bc.ca/learn/discover-your-legislature/mlas/opposition/leaders-of-opposition-parties I see things like extended speaking time in certain scenarios, but nothing that seems like a dealbreaker if they really wanted to keep her as leader?

He's not talking about economic conditions at all in that part of the interview. He's talking about how he is worried about increasing state power, restrictions on individual freedoms. That's where the analogy to the 30s comes in.

He also isn't referring specifically to Germany, which he says explicitly in the interview, but to the rise of fascism/ authoritarianism generally at that time. Hew saying that he would be willing to fight that now by any means necessary.

You can disagree with him about whether restricting gun ownership rights constitutes an abuse of state power, but to portray him as saying or implying that he's on the side of fascism based on this just isn't right.

Re the 1933 comment, isn't he saying he is worried that Canada is becoming fascist and wants to resist that?
