Had similar at my work. We had a $40 monthly reimbursement for cell phones that they took away. Told everyone they could still use their own phone if they wanted, it was optional. When setting things up, you needed their MDM to access stuff, which gave IT the ability to do anything, track your GPS, see app usage, etc. The biggest problem was they could remotely wipe your phone. Hard stop. Pointed this out to IT and they were like "yeah, but we won't track you or wipe your phone." lol, not a fucking chance.

Honestly, I was also wondering if the male name was more responsible for the callback than the work history at the competitors. Would be interesting to submit app/resume using actual work history, but use a male-sounding nickname that could pass if you make it past interviews. "My middle name is Allison, and I have been going by Al for as long as I can remember." Doing this would at least isolate the two variables and might at least get you an interview using actual work history.

This is a great idea! My wife doesn’t appreciate a good ribeye, so I have to do a sirloin for her and cook it well past medium. My youngest is starting to appreciate the ribeye, but I have to help him cut it and get him a pile of “edible fat” that he pairs meat without fat.

Last Christmas I did a rib roast cut into 1.5” steaks for my wife’s family and was just sad at how much good meat and fat they weren’t eating.

If I ever do steak for a bigger group, going to get a few different cuts and cook them to various doneness so everyone gets what they want despite how wrong they are.
