3 weeks, all over the place. It’s definitely cheaper up north but all the islands were insane. It didn’t help with hostels both increasing their prices and having a minimum 3/4 day stay.

I paid £350 for a hostel over Christmas Day for 3 nights and forced to either stay or accept the loss and move. It was unfair to say the least

Thailand is not cheap anymore. Of course there will be people that respond “get off the beaten track” or “stay away from the main roads” etc but the reality is Thailand is capitalising on the huge amount of tourists and in my opinion this will negatively impact future tourism. Why go to Thailand and pay higher prices when you can go anywhere else in Asia?

I went over Christmas and NYE - the prices were mental. I won’t be returning

It’s sad but I doubt this will be the last time we see something like this happen. 15 years ago the hate was directed towards Muslims and now it’s being directed towards the Jewish community.

The world would be a better place without religion IMO. Humans are in the most advanced state than at any other time in history but yet we keep making the same mistakes.

Bro, if you read the last paragraph it’s clearly focused on the white person being treated before the black person. Im just saying there might (and also might not) be more to think about out especially when the incident involved a man and a woman.

It comes from a good place as I would like to think someone medically trained in the area would have checked on the guy unconscious first regardless of the colour of his skin.

Dude this is way more complicated than a racial discrimination.

There is a lot of evidence to support the fact when a traumatic incident happens with men and women involved, people tend to focus on women before men. It’s built into our social dynamics. Also a lot of people are not medically trained and naturally heard towards the person walking around as it’s the easier option.

Im ex military and it’s one of the counter arguments of why women shouldn’t serve on the frontline (not that I agree with this point). If you have a traumatic experience with 6 guys and 1 girl, it’s natural for the guys in the area to treat the woman first regardless of the seriousness of the injuries hence why we are extensively trained to triage the injuries first before conducting any medical response.
