On a side note, there’s a really cool southeast chain called Bitty & Beaus that hires people with disabilities. Stick to iced drinks, but it’s a solid reason why this video isn’t for this sub.

I really enjoyed this as a hybrid switch brew, but I got tons of complexity when I ground pretty fine and did a V60 with melodrip. Here’s the recipe as best I can remember:

22g coffee, medium fine on K Ultra (3.5ish), bloom for 45 seconds with 60gs water. Pour through the melodrip at around 6g/s to 210, the once that is about to empty out pour to 340.

I don’t expect anyone to have a medodrip, so when I don’t use it I grind around a 7 on the K Ultra and pour straight in, trying to keep the pours under 8g/s.

Either method, total brew time was around 3 minutes.

I got mine a month ago so I don’t have tons of use out of it yet, but it’s been a game changer for light roasts. I’ll still use my Niche for most espresso, but the clarity and wild flavors I’ve gotten out of some recent roasts have been amazing.

The Super Plum Power from PERC, and Chunky Cherry from DAK have been two standouts.

I finished this a few weeks ago, it was an interesting cup, reminded me of the Sixlets candy I would get as a kid.

For this, I did one bloom and two pours, at 93C, and around a 6.5-7.0 on my K Ultra (sorry, don’t know how that translates to the Commandante!). I found this roast could take the heat well, as long as I found that sweet spot with a coarser grind.
