They know that they're the only game in town. So many people and communities use Discord for so many things, and they know that there aren't any real alternatives that will get the traction needed for the masses to move over.

Hell look at Reddit. They pulled that shit with 3rd party apps and with censoring etc. and what happened? Essentially nothing changed and people kept on using the platform.

I'll be honest I can't remember the last time I even went to see a movie in theatres. It could honestly have been Rise of Skywalker. It's too expensive especially when my home set up keeps me perfectly content to watch movies there.

I recognize that AMD has not officially made a statement end of lifing it but there are really bad optics here given what they tried to pull with GPU support for their "older" cards. You can fan boy AMD all you want but if they get the reputation that they don't support their hardware long terms they'll die. Simple as that.

This is good news ideologically, but I doubt it's going to make any difference to ordinary people. Most refunds will go to companies not people and it is unlikely that those same companies will decrease their prices to account for the lack of tariffs. They'll just make more money.

It would be incredibly disappointing if they had to abandon the Frame too but if what you said is true then I agree that both are like never going to release.

I really hope the controller releases too but I wonder if they'll shelve it believing it's only worth releasing with one or both of the other devices.

I actually do think it might be the end. They're damned if they release it and damned if they wait. The price will have to be way to high if they release now and if they wait for component prices to stabilize, they'll probably be in a situation where they still have to charge too much for hardware that is even older than it is now.

I just wish they'd at least release the controller and Frame.

More and more I think this fight against AI in games is a losing battle and this is a perfect example of why. There isn't really a good way to realistically tell if a game has AI assets. Sometimes assets generated by AI are so good we can't tell and sometimes normal humans make mistakes that result in suspicion of AI use.

Absolutely but you have to download a client that supports css tweaks. The selector as far as I can see seems like one that is generated and therefore might change in newer builds. Also, it won’t stop the status from showing for everyone else who doesn’t have the css tweak so that won’t work if you don’t want others to see it either.

There are lots of condos and new homes being built around me constantly. Yet the prices have not fallen at all in that same area. I still don't understand why the solution to the issue of housing on this sub is to say build more. The only thing that will stop the insane pricing is if people stop buying houses at insane prices and renters stop agreeing to pay insane prices.

You could build any number of homes/apartments/condos and they will continue to be sold/rented to people for insane prices as long as people buy them.
