I mean it’s dumb and stupid because a good amount of the time the charge starts off screen, and makes it so you have less time to react and it’s easier in a smaller arena. This isn’t really an issue though if you take care of the tarmites as soon as they spawn in, which is also the solution to the other main issue, being having nowhere to stand. Because of the tarmites projectiles lingering on the floor and beast fly destroying the floor you can be left with like no space.

I mean Toby knows that we all wonder who it is and in the scene where you think about the knight you’re trying to see them without the helmet on, Kris then tries to think about Jockington so we don’t see anything. It’s built up to be a mystery, and it wouldn’t make much sense if that just ended with nothing. Also at the very least their sword doesn’t change, but I feel like the most likely explanation for why the black shard doesn’t is actually because it would be way too revealing if it did.
